WHAT IS LOVE; The Story Of My Life.

FIRST DAY AT THE OFFICE

CHAPTER TWO:

It was 7am in the morning and my alarm rang I stood up and went to the bathroom I had a quick shower after which I went to the kitchen and quickly make my breakfast behold she was there in the kitchen making breakfast in a hurry " She must be late for work" so I thought then I decided to eat right there in the kitchen after some minutes she stopped what she was and look from the kitchen window without a smile, I didn't know what was running through her mind.

I got worried and left the window to the living room wondering why she didn't say a word or waved at me after few minutes a car horned, it must be my driver I looked at my time it was already 8:30am omg am supposed to be at work by 9am i left my breakfast grabbed my briefcase and went into the car; as soon as I entered the car the driver said good morning sir hope you slept well i smile and said yes, he start the car and drove me off to work.

On our way to work I asked the driver about the behavior of the staff and the management of the Las Vegas new office in the last few months working with them, he then spoke well about them except one person he said she is a little harsh lady having heard that I was interested and asked him who this person is, he looked at the middle mirror and said sir " she is a beautiful woman tall and fair she always act like shes the owner of the company.

I smiled and asked him what is her position at work "she is the secretary" he replied i nodded and said well I hope she is nice to me, hope to meet with her toda, the driver then turn to me after he stop at the traffic and said, don't worry sir she is on her two days off today is the last day you're going to be meeting her tomorrow; oh thats fine i replied him.

When we got to the company "we are here sir" I stepped out of the car and he took me straight to the manager the manager was smiling at my arrival, welcoming me into his office "good morning Mr Dalton" I have heard so much about you am impressed with your indisputable performance and am glad the company recommendation from the head office to Las Vegas and am glad you accepted your transfer am sorry the secretary is not on seat today, allow me to introduce to mis Dolores she is the assistant secretary she will be showing you your office, "thank you Sir" i said as i walked with the assistant secretary to my new office.

She was polite and happy to take me to my office, can you please remind me your name again i asked "my name is Dolores" am from SA, I look at her SA? am not sure where that is she smiled and said I mean South Africa oh wow I was amazed to meet an African beautiful lady today, she opened the office door and I went in with her, it's a beautiful office I like what I saw, she then said to me welcome sir by tomorrow the secretary will be at work she will enlighten you more about your office and the policy here; she quickly walked away to her office, I then remembered what the driver said to me in the car I began to wonder what manner of lady will she be hoping she will be kind to me.

After a few hours handling some paperwork in the office the assistant secretary came in and said sir you haven't had your lunch yet what will you like, I looked at her and said just get me anything "ok sir she replied" as she shut the door behind her and left she then came back in a few minutes and gave me a Burger and a bottle of mountain dew it was amazing how she knew I like mountain dew I smiled and said thank you she nodded with a smile and walked away, when i saw the burger and mountain dew on my desk I then realized I was truly hungry i had a bite of the burger and that served as lunch after which i went back to work making sure i meet up with the work on my desk because ill be having alot of things to do by tomorrow, my heart was much comfortable at the moment because everyone has been nice to me ever since i came in, i think i have a new family now.

it was almost time to go home Just a few minutes left after looking at my wrest watch I immediately remembered the lady I saw in the nearby block I smiled and wished it was time for me to be home, this time I'm sure I'll wait around my block.

If by any means I got to see her am going to approach her if she's single am gonna be asking for her number I hope things goes well, if not I'll mind my business and just concentrate at work after all I am here for the job nothing more, I honest hope she plays along, as I was planning my evening my phone rang it was my manager from the head office; hello Mr Dalton how are you enjoying your new office?... " its cool ma'am am happy to be here and everyone is treating me well "good she said, take good care of yourself am always here just incase you have any problem " thank you ma'am" she then hang up the phone I quickly picked up my stuffs it's time to go home I stood up and left to the managers office "thanks for the warm welcome sir I should be on my way home I'll be here by tomorrow morning I left the office and the drive was waiting for me outside that was when I realized he has been assigned to be my driver I quickly entered the car and he drove me home.

When I got home the first thing I did was to look around if I could find this beautiful Lady but she was not anywhere around at the moment I walked inside my apartment and took off my clothes and lay down a little bit to catch a quick nap because the day was little hectic for me as the new HR of the company I put on my music and lay down looking towards the ceiling while I enjoy the music waiting to doze off, the thoughts of how i became the new HR of the company came into my mind and I felt so good about it and smiled, I felt grateful to my manager and team I worked with all this while, honestly it feels good to be the HR of a big company like this, now i realized that hard work pays alot if you can be consistent in whatever you do in life it will only take time but it surely pays to be sincere and hard working in life.
