Baelan
I was unsure of who to call. People were more friends with Lloyd than they were with me. I don't like to socialise. And I barely knew the names of these people. I took the phone out of my pocket and stood there for a second, as not one single phone number popped into my head. Vampires had strong memories, but that was obviously my weakness. I didn't have time to tell Leila I was heading back to my house so I wrote a note saying where I was.
Probably not the brightest idea considering she just got a note from her family saying they had left her.
I find Lloyd’s phone at the house, and thank the heavens that he never takes his phone anywhere. Hope fills my body, just as the desperation sinks in, too.. I had to get some people together, even though there was a strong possibility that Lloyd was dead by now anyway. But I wouldn't give up, and there was no way that Leila would give up either. I turn on Lloyd’s phone to find he has about a hundred text messages. But that wasn't what I was looking for. I went to his contact list and scrolled through them to see if I recognised any names. Ah, Jake. I recognised that name for sure. I think he and his family visited us just last year. Lloyd made friends with them before we had to move back here. I tap on the contact and tap call. And waited as the ring was bursting through my ears.
"Hello? Lloyd? What is it?" Jake asked, it sounded like he had just woken up.
"It's Baelan, I need your help, Lloyd's in trouble." I reply flatly.
"Oh no... What's happened? Where is he?" He asks, sounding like he was starting to wake up.
"The First Borns have him. And me and L... And I can't face them alone. Do you think you could help?" I say. I didn't want to tell them about Leila because if they found out she was a hunter they would probably rip her throat out.
"Anything for Lloyd. Those pesky First Borns killed our Rosalina a few years back because she fell in love with a hunter. We're on our way." Jake says and hangs up.
Was that what they were doing? Killing Lloyd because of Leila? No. I couldn't let that take over my mind. I called many others. Lucy, Ashleigh, Laura, Harry, Lewis, Liam, Fern. A few backed out but most of them said they and their families would help.
I guess we weren't so helpless after all. This was hope, and I would hold onto that hope with everything I have because there is no way my brother was dead.
