This is the story of the well-known, unfathomably sexy, yet dangerous and most dreaded killer alpha Brandon. Alpha Brandon led one of the biggest packs in Wisconsin and was feared even by his pack members. He was known as the rogue alpha for almost five years after he lost his pregnant Luna and their two-year-old son Jason in a failed assassination attempt on him by a neighbouring pack. He had spent a week in the hospital recovering after the car had overturned six times and broken both his femurs and five ribs and cra**ed his spine. He was lucky to have sustained no serious brain injuries and only punctured one lung. He was comatose for two weeks.

His wife was both lucky and unlucky as she was impaled by a rod through the heart and died immediately, along with their unborn daughter. Their son was in ICU for a week fighting for his life, alone with none of his parents there to soothe him. His little heart and brain gave in a full week before Alpha Brandon woke up from his coma.

When he woke up from his coma he felt an emptiness soo loud and sharp that he thought it would drown him whole and he could feel his sanity slowly slipping away. The bright hospital lights almost gave him a headache, and doctors quickly rushed in to do exams on him to make sure he was fine. When he realised he was in hospital he shot up searching around the room for his wife and child, and panicked immediately when he only saw Beta James looking at him like he has not slept or eaten in a month. James had lost all colour in his face and looked fragile. He looked at his alpha with an apologetic and broken fake smile. He had rehearsed multiple times how he would break the news of their loss to him, but now looking at his blue and brown eyes words failed him. What do you say to a man who has lost his entire world?

Losing his Luna
Beta James was a 24-year-old, dashingly handsome man who stood at 6 ft 4". He was built like a rock and shredded like he was sculpted by the gods. He was Alpha Brandon's most trusted confidant. Having been the previous Beta's son, he was raised to his position as the Beta of the Midnight pack. From the wolf tales that his mother used to read to him as a baby to studying pack laws from the age of six. He was skilled and held the authority of an Alpha, with his mother having been the first-born daughter of Alpha Derick of the Moonshine pack. James received a phone call from a human hospital, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center to alert him that Alpha Brandon and his family had been involved in a gruesome accident. Without waiting for further details, he got into his Jeep and sped off leaving dust in its wake. His heart was racing and his palms sweating. A drive that was supposed to take him an hour took him just over 30 minutes. Nothing could have prepared him for the news that he had lost his Luna and the future alpha of the Midnight pack. His knees immediately gave in and he almost fell forward from the weight of the news. He was told that Brandon was in a coma. James knew that he would have to be the acting alpha until his Alpha woke up from his coma. But he did not know how he was going to tell him the news or how he would handle it. He did know for a fact that he would set the world on fire. James wasted no time in hiring a private investigator to get to the bottom of the accident. He was suspicious of two Alphas who were currently fighting with Midnight for territory and expanding lines. He needed hardcore evidence before he could act, or avenge his Alpha. He was taken to the mortuary to identify the body of his Luna. A week later, it was the body of the young alpha. His world was perishing, and fast. He was barely getting any sleep, having to spend two hours every day on the road to visit his unconscious alpha to update him on what was going on in the pack. To find out his health status, and try to keep enemies at bay. News of the Luna's demise were kept very quiet, almost a secret. Today James woke up from his 2-hour sleep feeling like he had been hit by a train. He had a pounding headache that would not go away. He took pain medication and began looking up his upcoming meetings on that day. He had to keep the Luna's family from claiming her body to bury her at her home, as it was unnatural for a werewolf to be buried later than three days. Two weeks was unheard of. The number of rogue attacks was also increasing, and the Alphas of the Saphire and Ivory Pack were getting more aggressive, as if they had received Intel on what was going on at Midnight Pack. Both Alpha's had requested a meeting to discuss the pack lines, the hospital was also on his neck regarding having to keep the Luna and her son in the mortuary for this long. The pack members had questions and there were already whispers spreading that the Alpha and Luna might already be dead. James had tried to avoid all questions about their whereabouts and told worried members that they had gone on a babymoon to celebrate their unborn baby. It was a terrible lie, but he could not risk neighbouring packs thinking that they were vulnerable and attacking. Especially with the increasing rogue attacks. He had also scheduled a meeting with the PI to get an update on the assassination. He took a quick shower, stealing a quick glance at himself. That was the longest he had been able to sleep in two weeks. He was mourning his Luna and young Alpha Caleb. He could barely eat anything. He grabbed an apple and sped to his car as he saw that the time was already 7 am. He planned to start by visiting his alpha at the hospital to give him an update. "Good morning Alpha," he started. "It seems that the PI has new information on the accident. The inlaws are threatening to sue as they feel that what is happening to Luna Victoria is inhumane and demoralizing. I have the pack lawyer to handle the legal aspects." He continued. "Brandon, I have no idea how you would like me to proceed in this matter. I was prepared to be a beta my whole life but never for what to do with a dead Luna and a comatose Alpha". His voice began to crack. He did not notice but Brandon stirred in his sleep, his hands forming into fists.
