But he was no place to be found.

My mother raised an eyebrow, her look puncturing. "You're beyond any doubt you're affirm, Aurora? You appear a bit... distracted."
I gestured, attempting to console her. "I'm fine, Mother. Truly. I fair require to get a few rest."
My mother gestured, appearing to acknowledge my clarification. "Okay, dear. But do not disregard to take a protect with you. It's not secure for you to be out alone at night."
I gestured, knowing superior than to contend with my mother's security measures. As I made my way out of the dance floor, I might feel eyes upon me – Elijah's eyes, observing me from the shadows.
I shuddered, in spite of the warmth of the summer night. Something was off, and I couldn't shake the feeling that Elijah was at the center of it all.
As I ventured out into the moonlit gardens, I felt a sense of alleviation wash over me. The cool night discuss, the sound of crickets chirping, the delicate shine of the moon – everything appeared to plan to calm my dashing heart.
But as I strolled along the winding ways, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being observed. And at that point, abruptly, I listened strides behind me.
I spun around, my heart beating in my chest. And that's when I saw him – Elijah Morano, standing in the shadows, his eyes settled eagerness on me.
"What do you need?" I requested, attempting to keep my voice steady.
Elijah grinned, his eyes flickering in the moonlight. "I think you know precisely what I need, Aurora," he said, his voice moo and husky.
And with that, he ventured forward, his eyes burning with an inward fire that appeared to devour me entire.
