I couldn't shake off the feeling that Elijah's sudden vanishing was more than fair a coincidence. It was as if he'd been holding up for something – or somebody – and had vanished into lean discuss the minute he got what he wanted. As I made my way back to my mother's side, I couldn't offer assistance but feel a sense of unease. The music, the giggling, the shimmering chandeliers – everything appeared to blur into the foundation as I checked the room for any sign of Elijah. But he was no place to be found. "Mother, I think I'm going to call it a night," I said, attempting to sound casual. "I'm getting a bit tired." My mother raised an eyebrow, her look puncturing. "You're beyond any doubt you're affirm, Aurora? You appear a bit... distracted." I gestured, attempting to console her. "I'm fine, Mother. Truly. I fair require to get a few rest." My mother gestured, appearing to acknowledge my clarification. "Okay, dear. But do not disregard to take a protect with you. It's not secure for you to be out alone at night." I gestured, knowing superior than to contend with my mother's security measures. As I made my way out of the dance floor, I might feel eyes upon me – Elijah's eyes, observing me from the shadows. I shuddered, in spite of the warmth of the summer night. Something was off, and I couldn't shake the feeling that Elijah was at the center of it all. As I ventured out into the moonlit gardens, I felt a sense of alleviation wash over me. The cool night discuss, the sound of crickets chirping, the delicate shine of the moon – everything appeared to plan to calm my dashing heart. But as I strolled along the winding ways, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being observed. And at that point, abruptly, I listened strides behind me. I spun around, my heart beating in my chest. And that's when I saw him – Elijah Morano, standing in the shadows, his eyes settled eagerness on me. "What do you need?" I requested, attempting to keep my voice steady. Elijah grinned, his eyes flickering in the moonlight. "I think you know precisely what I need, Aurora," he said, his voice moo and husky. And with that, he ventured forward, his eyes burning with an inward fire that appeared to devour me entire.
