It's been four years since I've been out of high school, four years since I've hung out with any of my old high school friends. My boyfriend, well ex boyfriend Logan was my world for four years. Four years of lies and constantly defending him. Finding those messages with pictures of him with other girls was the last straw. I'd given him all of me. He took my innocence. I thought he loved me but apparently I was wrong. I live in a town called Hell. Quite the name I know.. A once small village in Pennsylvania. Nothing special happens here. Beautiful fall but winter and spring are quite depressing. Something about this area is spooky around fall. I think it's far more than the idea of Halloween. Something dark and sinister lurking. Maybe it's the fear of the unknown, or maybe the town itself is cursed, who knows. I'm not your typical girl. I don't have big boobs or a nice ass. I'm 85 lbs of nothing. I'm plain. There's nothing curvy about me. What you see is what you get pretty much. Long wavy dark hair and hazel eyes. Anyways, I'm tired of being a good girl. It's gotten me no where. I'm ready to forget tonight. I'm ready to let go. It's like Rihanna said, "When a good girl goes bad, we die forever." I'm ready to be someone that isn't me. Obviously who I was wasn't enough. And maybe love isn't for me after all. I'm going out tonight with my old friends, Sammy, Heather, Rachel, and Macie. They are so much prettier than me. Sammy can literally get any guy she wants. She's a huge flirt. I would never call my friends sluts but between you and me, she gets around. Heather is beautiful. She reminds me of myself. She recently went through a break up too so we've been getting through it together. Rachel has been with her high school sweetheart Adam since the 8th grade. Adam is best friends with Logan so hopefully Logan doesn't show up tonight. Then there's Macie. Macie has blonde hair and blue eyes. She's your typical blonde, always up for a good time. She recently met this guy, Steven who she has been head over heels for. They all agreed to come out with me tonight to help me get over Logan. I've shed enough tears. I want to amend my friendships and get plastered. Forget all about what's his name. I want to dance and just live. I haven't been living for 4 years. I was stuck in a world of constantly worrying if I was being cheated on. It's a cycle and one that I no longer want to be a part of. I may not be the prettiest but I am worth more than that. I'm sure of it. I hope tonight is a blast. I agreed to stay at Sammy's house afterwards. Her places is a few houses down from the bar. Hopefully she doesn't make tonight about her. If there's one thing I dislike about her is she can be really selfish sometimes. Hopefully tonight will be the beginning of a new me. I can't wait to see what's in store. I fix my hair and put on my black leggings, black tank top and jean jacket. I look at my phone and see a text from Sammy: S: When are you coming? I'm so f*****g excited to go out!! I bet there's gonna be some hawties out there tonight ? M: Grabbing my bag then heading out. Ehh, I'm just ready for the drinks, dancing, and singing out the top for our lungs. S: Hell yeah! We are getting wasted tonight!! M: See ya soon! love ya❤ I put my phone in my pocket and start heading downstairs. I am nervous and excited for tonight. It's going to be a blast. I haven't spent time with my girls in years. "I'm going to Sammy's for the night Mom. I'll be home tomorrow. " I say  My mom is beautiful. She has long black curly hair and is always smiling. "Okay sweetie. Have fun but be careful! Call me if you need anything. " she replies "Thanks Mom. I love you." "I love you too!" I give my mom a quick hug and head out the door. My Mom and Dad are amazing. I actually just moved back home a few days ago after realizing Logan was cheating on me. Mom was over the moon when I showed up on her door step with all my stuff.  I get in my car. It's not the nicest. It's a 1989 Cavalier. My grandfather gave it to me as a graduation gift. It gets me from point A to B. We always took Logan's red Celica anytime we went anywhere. But I love my car. Logan was always ashamed to be seen with me in it. I'm doing being ashamed. Time to head to Sammy's and have the time of my life. I pull into Sammy's driveway. Her house is beautiful and rustic. She always had her s**t together so bought a house right after high school. She worked hard for it. I turn my car off and heading inside. "I thought you said you were ready?," Sammy said. I had no idea what she was talking about. "I am ready." I don't know what she's talking about. It's not like I have anyone to impress. I just want to have a nice evening with my girls. No boys, no drama, and no pain. I am not ready to put myself out there just yet.  "Oh my God, my bathroom now." Sammy says I knew not to argue with her. She's bossy that's what I loved about her. "I love your outfit but we are gonna make you look sexy as hell tonight." she says "haha thanks" I say nervously.  Nothing could make me look sexy. I am not sexy. I'm just plain old me. Any man would look past me to look at my friends. I have no womanly features to appreciate. I am just me, plain old Amelia. I don't get the good looking men. Sammy gets the good looking men. She's stunning. Sammy applied a smoky eye look on and me and put maroon lipstick on me, even made my waves in my hair look more distinguished. I almost didn't recognize myself in the mirror. I looked pretty. We heard the other girls shouting at the door so we decided to grab our purses and head out for the night. This is my first time going to bar so I'm nervous. I hope it's fun. I hope I can forget tonight. Ugh, here goes nothing.
