Slowly I make my way out to the barn where my friend is and the first baby I ever to enter my life, my not-so-little friend, Almond.  I’ve brought what I believe is his favorite treat with me to share with him doing our last moments together.  Almond probably doesn’t have any kind of feelings towards me but I love that little cow.  He came at a time when I was giving up on life and showed me the beauty of bringing a new life into this world.  He rejuvenated my soul when he was born and when he almost died in the mud he brought Aaron and me together by showing us the love we could lose in death. I owe this little cow my life and my soul for that matter.  He’s listened to me for hours upon hours many days just lying there in the hay next to me and really was my only friend prior to Aaron.  W
