Benny was too hyped up to sleep. After Travis staggered out to his car, and drove off in a spray of gravel, Benny sat on the couch and looked at the bundles of notes, picking them up one by one, flipping through them, sniffing them. He even licked one; it tasted very bland. He gathered them up, stashed ten bundles in his dirty clothes basket, wrapped the other ten bundles in a towel and stuffed it into his backpack. He had no idea how much a gun would cost, but he hoped he had enough. He picked up the piece of paper with the address on it, stuffed it into his shirt pocket, locked the front door and made his way to the bus stop.
