My footsteps echoed through the halls as made my way into my room. The servants tried to gain my attention, but I didn’t pay any heed to any of them. They were not her.
On getting to the door, I pulled it open as quickly as I could. The whole place was as cold as ice because I had not been in for a night thanks to the council meeting. I didn’t want to think about it. It would only make me feel annoyed and that was what I didn’t want now.
My eyes scanned my made bed, and then the small bar that was attached to the side of the wall that led to the bathroom. I didn’t need to think as my feet made its way to the bar, grabbing one of the bottles from the shelf. It was a French wine which had 60% alcohol intake. It was not something that I could not handle.
