Chapter 6Thirty miles north at Port Piedras, a fifty-four foot trawler taxied slowly out beneath the harbor lights. Onboard were Emil and Ramzan; an odd-looking pair whose facial features and size clearly distinguished them from one another. Ramzan was slight of frame, thin as a rail, with dark skin and sullen eyes. Though he was clean shaven now and wore a San Francisco Giants baseball cap, it was just part of their charade. He did not dress this way back home. Back home he wore traditional attire, modest in every respect, long flowing robes, a long, wiry beard, and when not wearing a turban, he donned a Tarboosh—an Arabic cap. Emil, on the other hand, a big, strong-jawed, rugged character with memorable steel-grey eyes, did not prefer the traditional dress, though he wore it once joining
