Chapter 38With the surveillance screens strategically disabled, Drake's b****y rampage had gone unseen by Lewis in Control One. Completely oblivious to what had taken place, Lewis reviewed the protocol manual awaiting Drake's return. He was anxious to hear what Harkin had to say about the malfunctioning cameras. In the few minutes that passed he had tried several options to retrieve the video signals, but nothing seemed to work. A second re-boot of the entire camera system had likewise failed. The flat-screens above him remained blank. Drake's quickness to notify Harkin of the camera dilemma, which at first seemed self-serving, now seemed proper.
