First day as..

The Next Day

I opened my eyes from the sunlight coming into my room, I sat up slowly pulling my covers off my grabbing my pants sliding them on buttoning them grabbing my phone and putting it in my purse pulling it onto my shoulder, as I made my way downstairs finding the kitchen where I found Jayden cooking eggs and bacon so I sat down at the kitchen island looking at him “Good Morning my now husband” I giggled, he turned around “it’s Mr. Sanchez and now Mrs. Sanchez” he said correcting me.

“Good to know also, are we still on for shopping today?” I asked to which he handed me a plate of eggs and bacon, “Yes, princess we are going once you’re done eating” he said eagerly.

I had finished eating my eggs and bacon getting up walking outside noticing two men on both sides of the door dressed nicely so, I looked at them and asked “who are you?” To my disappointment neither of the nicely dressed men had acknowledged what I had said so, I walked past over to the car in the driveway and went into the passenger side and opened the door yet again to be confused by seeing a strange man in the driver seat instead of Jayden so, I apologized immediately getting cut off by a familiar voice “No need to apologize you have the right car princess, I’m in the back seat” so I closed the passenger door opening the back seat door to see Jayden looking at me.

“Why are you back here and what’s with all these men?” I asked getting in the car, “well I’ve got to keep you safe considering now you’re my wife” he said as he smiled at me “I guess that’s true” I replied as I put my seat belt on “You know you don’t have to put on a seatbelt” he said case s I reached over pulling his seatbelt putting it on him, “yes we do” I said upset to his response “why is that princess?”, “because, it’s safer that way, didn’t you say you wanted to keep me safe?” I said “that is true princess”.

At The Store

We parked at this giant mall Jayden had unbuckled his seatbelt opening his door and I started unbuckling and reached for the door handle as I was about to open the door I got caught off guard by a pissed off Jayden “Don’t you dare open that door princess!!” He shouted as he closed his door running over to mine taking a deep breathe as he opened my door, looking at me with a smile “Why could I not open my own door?” I asked confused “My wife will never open her own door” he said proud of himself as he reached a hand out to me, I took his hand getting out of the car as he closed the door he kept my hand held walking with me into the store.

“What are we getting first” I looked at him asking “well we could start with getting you pajamas so you don’t have to continue wearing my shirt” he pointed out the shirt I forgot I was wearing “yeah you’re right” I looked away in embarrassment as we walked into a*****e in the mall.

We had been shopping for a couple of hours as we walked past a display of this lantern sleeved black dress I stared at it then seen the price at the bottom ‘$23,000’ it read, I quickly looked away catching up with Jayden who was waiting for me “what’s wrong princess did you see something you liked?” He asked curiously “No I just forgot what we were doing” I lied as we walked out of the store we the several bags of clothes and shoes we had bought he opened the door for me and put the clothes in the trunk before, opening my door and looking at me “stay here princess, I’ll be right back” he said then looked at the driver “protect her!” He said sternly before, shutting my door again.

About 20 minutes later the trunk of the car opened again and closed as Jayden got in the car, I buckled up “What happened, why’d you go back into the store?” I asked curiously, I mean I am his wife now I can know this right? “I just had some business to take care of really quick princess don’t worry about it” he said sliding his seatbelt on looking at me pleased with himself.

Back at home

Yet again Jayden opened my door and helped me out closing it “Head inside princess I got the bags” he said “Are you sure I can’t help with anything?” I said to be sure “Yes, princess” with him saying that I walked back inside opening the door for Jayden as he came in with the bags he brought them upstairs, I slowly followed behind when he took a turn away from my room “Jayden?” I asked “yes princess?” He replied “my room isn’t over here it’s the other way remember?” He walked into his room setting my stuff down on his neatly made bed it had smelt like apple pie “We are married now and just as my father said “married people sleep in the same room”” he quoted his father “I guess you’re right” I said as I sat on the bench at the end of his bed.

“Close your eyes princess and put your hands out” he said and I closed my eyes and reached my hands out as I heard a loud amount of bags being moved, I felt something being sat on my hands eagerly ready to open my eyes to see what it is, I heard Jayden moving “alright princess you can open” I slowly opened my eyes and seen a bag in my hands I reached inside pulling out the dress I was looking at in the store, I looked up at Jayden in shock setting it down getting up as he slowly went down getting on one knee I looked him pull out a small little box and opened it, revealing a beautiful light blue ring with several jewels surrounded by a big one “I know we are already married princess but, will you marry me?” He giggled nervously as I reached down hugging him “yes I will” I replied.

We stood up and he slid the ring on my finger as he smiled to my response, picking me up and twirling me around like I was flying then gently sat me back down “Well princess I will leave you to put away all of your new belongings he walked over to a closet opening it completely empty on one side, he then walked out of the room leaving me to sort my new belongings so I had picked up a few bags and brought them to the closet putting them away little by little.

About half an hour later I had finished putting away my new belongings and I had pulled out some rose gold silk pajamas and got changed into them since it was already dark out, I had opened my door and made my way down the staircase that’s when I started to smell something delicious so, I walked into the kitchen to see Jayden cooking some chicken Alfredo humming to a song on the radio that was playing so, I sat there watching him have fun cooking.

After, we had finished eating the dinner Jayden had made us, we headed upstairs to his room and he had turned off the light after I had crawled myself into bed he had followed after me doing the same.

“Hey Jayden?” I whispered “yes princess?” He replied “when do you go back to work?” I asked out of curiosity “well I have business to attend to so, I will probably have to go back into work tomorrow why? Is something bothering you?” He asked concerned “No I’m just a little nervous since I dunno what you do at your business” I heard him shuffle then felt his hand on my shoulder rubbing it “princess the less you know the better I promise” he said “well I would like to know what I am involved in” I said upset “the mafia” he whispered, I took a deep breathe there’s no way right? He’s just joking with me right? I looked over at him “you’re joking right?” I said “No princess, I’m not joking” he pulled me close to him I just sat there for a bit taking in the information.

I’m married to someone in the mafia? “Wait wait what do you do that makes you so important that you have to have a wife?” I asked my stupid question not thinking straight to which a laughed a little at my question before replying “princess you are the queen of the kingdom” I started going up the positions in my head “then that makes you the leader doesn’t it?” I said thinking out loud “yes princess and guess where that puts you” he said patiently letting me process “that would make me the mafia leaders wife?” He laughed a little again “yes princess, are you all caught up now?” I nodded I think I had everything down except “well all I do is just assist in public appearances? What about the meetings you have?” I asked out of curiosity “you can attend all the meetings you’d like but, for now you need to get some rest for tomorrow” he replied “what are we doing tomorrow other than making an appearance in public I asked confused “Well I have a photo shoot and I would like my wife to come and support me is that alright?” He replied “I guess I could come” I said as I closed my eyes in his arms drifting off to sleep after the long day.
