CHAPTER 19 Freedom for the Animal WithinThe stench of decaying meat filled the Wolf-Caves, it was the sweet aroma of dead and rotting flesh, which we wolves just enjoyed. The acidic taste and the tough meat was just some of the things we wolves enjoyed about our old kills. The warm flesh of the fresh kill had its own special taste, which made it appetizing for wolves. The scent of the dead rotting flesh filled every part of the cave and it was also an easy way for us to navigate our way back with our eyes closed on foggy nights. It was dead meat paradise for us.
