“I woke up to the sounds of my brothers arguing in the hallway,their voices muffled with the walls of our mansion” Those two never stop arguing about everything. I kept wondering how I ended up as the only girl in their midst. But still yet I went downstairs to check why the heck they are disturbing my sleep in the early hours of the morning. As I descended the stairs, the arguing grew louder, and I could make out snippets of their conversation. "...don't think it's a good idea, Henry," Jasper said, his voice rising. "It's the best way to move forward, Jasper. We need to expand our market share," Henry countered. I reached the bottom of the stairs and cleared my throat to announce my presence. Both brothers turned to face me, their expressions sheepish. "What's going on?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. "Can't you two keep it down? It's, like, ridiculously early." Henry and Jasper exchanged a look, and for a moment, I thought they might tell me it was none of my business. But then Henry spoke up. "Just discussing some business strategies, Jazz. Nothing to worry about." I raised an eyebrow. "At this hour? You guys are crazy." Jasper chuckled. "We're just trying to get a head start on the day." I shook my head, smiling. "You two can argue all you want, but can it wait until I've had my coffee?" As I headed toward the kitchen, I couldn't help but wonder what had triggered their argument this time. Were they discussing the fabrics industry, or was something else going on? I made a mental note to ask Jasper about it later; he usually filled me in on the details. On getting to the kitchen,I saw my mom making waffles,my favorite breakfast ever although I was puzzled cause she never does that the maids literally does everything around here,Mom is all about work, work,work.I forgot to mention my mum is a superstar. She works for the entertainment industry as an actress. My Mom is a perfect woman after three kids. Her shape looks perfect like when she was still a youngster My mom won so many Grammy awards over the years so if you ask me,I got all my sassiness and beauty from my mommy.Let's say everyone has something cooking around the house except me who still has to finish college. “Good morning mom,why make breakfast so early? Where is Maria?”I asked her. “Maria had an emergency at home,so she had to quickly head home but she would be back by evening though, why aren't dressed up for school yet Jasmine”. Mom asked. What the heck,I totally forgot I was going to school. “Oh my goodness,Talk to u later mom gotta go get dressed”. I said running upstairs so fast that I nearly fell, surprisingly my brothers were laughing at my misfortune making fun of me “Little princess Jasmine forgot she was supposed to be in school. I don't know what you are turning into,Oh I know a nonchalant beauty”Jasper said amidst laughter. “I learnt from the best twinnie you were more worse than me have u forgotten the cutest playboy in school,the one who never feared any teacher a big bully at that come on bro.I learnt my everything from you sweet bro and a quick reminder before setting a false mentorship in front of me remember u were once like me and I am still better than you in every way”. I said “Hey little sis watch ur tongue am still ur older brother remember”Jasper said scornfully. “Don’t you dare call me that,we are agemates just a one minute difference dummy”I said to my brother “You can't buy that one minute difference at your dad's industry my little princess”Jasper said this time around feeling elected. I just had to ignore him and run upstairs.I can't deal with his drama this morning, not when I am late. “Jasmine, isn't it time to go to school yet I don't know why u always end up going to school late everyday” My dad said. My dad is a man of vigour, strength,passion, determination.The owner of Jones and co fabric Industry it took my dad everything he owned to build his legacy today. He is a very loving person,he took it upon himself to always protect,care and love me and he also imposed that characteristics into my brothers “On my way dad just extra 2 minutes to finish up”I shouted under muffled breath. Finally I was done dressing,and ready for school As I rushed downstairs, I couldn't help but smile at the familiar sound of Jasper's teasing. Despite his arrogance, he was a good brother at heart. Just as I was about to head out the door, my dad called out to me. "Jasmine, don't forget to pick up your lunch from the kitchen. Maria left some sandwiches for you." I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Got it, Dad. Thanks!" My dad dropped me off at school, and I waved goodbye as he drove away. As I walked towards my locker, I spotted some friends chatting in the hallway. We exchanged hellos, and I felt a sense of normalcy wash over me. Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all. But as I turned to head to my first class, I caught sight of someone who made my heart skip a beat. A guy with piercing blue eyes and messy brown hair was leaning against the lockers, watching me with a hint of a smile. The face looked so familiar yet I couldn't place where or when I saw the person.I felt a fluster in my chest then suddenly I remember I was getting late for my first class. “Look who is here, a daughter of nobody” said Cassie. “Oh you are mistaken sweetie, I am the only daughter of Mr Jones the owner of Jones and co Industry, surprisingly your dad works under my elder brother not even my dad u blabbing fool” I said to Cassie. Cassie is the daughter of Mr Starks Rogers, the owner of Starks fabric. She always thinks highly of herself, literally everytime and I think it's time to put her in her place. So I picked up my phone and called Henry “Hey big bro, Cassandra Stark Rogers,Bullied me and she insulted dad calling him a nobody”I said shuddering so he asked me to put it on speaker so she could hear him clearly. “Cassie Stark, Your dad may own a company but he runs it with my money, Your dad is fired just call your dad for confirmation,You nonchalant muppet”.Henry said to her. By now Cassie begins to shudder in fear because her dad happens to be a very strict man. I wonder what is waiting for her. “Thanks bro, I love you so much thanks for being there for me" .I said to my brother before hanging up. “So Cassie,how are you feeling now? I guess elected right the next time you try this whole bullshit with me I am gonna make sure you regret it your whole Goddamn life i***t”. I said to her.By then our teacher Mrs Valerie came into the picture. “Not her again”I said under a muffled breath. “What is going on here Jasmine and Cassie u ought to be in class by now, what are you doing here”she asked. “Mrs Valerie, Jasmine just fired my dad” she said in tears. “What! Jasmine is that true, Answer me is she saying the truth”. Said Mrs Valerie. All this people never seems to amaze me like wtf I own no mother f*****g explanation right now. “I don't think I own anybody any Goddamn mother f*****g explanation about how I do my stuff,I rule my life missy”. I said to her Honestly I know my dad is gonna flare up at me but I gotta stand for myself. “Jasmine any more words from u I will give you the most resounding slap ever trust me on this”. Mrs Valerie said. “Excuse you,I dare you, even my dad can't talk to me like that. Please excuse me, I have class”I said and walked away. Mrs Valerie kept staring at me till I was out of sight. I personally know the consequences of my action but I can't stand around and let someone insult me like Wtf. I finally got to class and was still in time for the lesson and I met my best friends already in class. That was weird because we girls come to school late. After 30 seconds we started the lesson already so I couldn't catch up much with them but after class we got a lot to talk about. So finally the long and boring lesson was over. I don't know I can never get along with micro biology,it is always so long and boring. So now me and my besties are finally ready to gist out the day. I have 4 best friends Nora,Minda,Gold and Flora. These souls are the best we have been friends since when I started college and we are still the best friends duo all time long. “Hey Jasmine what's up, How are you doing”said Nora.
