Chapter 28 – The Break-In
Ethan drove through London's evening traffic faster than he ever had before.
Sophia sat beside him, gripping the edge of her seat.
"Do you think someone's inside?" she asked.
"I don't know," Ethan replied, his eyes fixed on the road. "But we're not taking any chances."
Behind them, Detective Whitmore and Ryan followed in another vehicle with two armed officers.
When they arrived at the penthouse building, the lobby security manager rushed toward them.
"Mr. Cole!"
"What happened?"
"The alarm was triggered twelve minutes ago."
"Did anyone leave the building?"
The manager shook his head.
"We're still reviewing the cameras."
Ethan and the police hurried upstairs.
The front door to the penthouse was slightly open.
