CHAPTER SIX Milan, the next morning Remi had never liked Milan. Industrial and modern, it was the antithesis of the beautiful cities of Italy that she savored: Florence and Rome, Palermo and Turin. The northern city situated close to the French, Swiss, and Austrian borders, did not feel to her entirely Italian. But she wasn’t here to sightsee.
