CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Back at the local station, Daniel sat across from Father De Sanctis. He hadn’t said a word as they brought him to the station and processed him.
But now he sat in the interrogation room facing himself, Remi, Sergeant Esposito, and some local cop whose name Daniel didn’t catch.
Now he would have to talk.
“So why were you camped out in the crypt of a burned church?” Daniel asked him, snapping the words out in order to intimidate him.
