KAYDEN POV Today was the last day of the combat training, the shift day. My stomach twisted from the moment I woke up. I barely slept the night before, and today I couldn’t eat, couldn’t breathe. What if I was paired with someone? What if I had to shift right in front of them, and then shift back? They would see. They would know.
