He watched carefully as the paramedic continued with the usual tests to make sure the patient's temperature, blood pressure and heartbeat had not worsened since being lifted into the ambulance. Though, at the same time, he was well aware that readings taken in an ambulance could be distorted due to both the sirens and engine noise.
