Accidentally yours,Roommate
Accidentally Yours, Roommate* *Chapter 1: Not Him Again* The sun was bright and Room 204 was already a mess. Tobi had arrived early. His mom’s driver dropped him at the gate that morning with two duffels, a luggage, and a some school items. "Call me when you need anything, Tobi," she said. Tobi just waved. He was used to it. He was an only child from a rich family. Nobody ever told him to fold his clothes. He enter the hostel room, why is this room small and someone will still reach this room with me Gosh "My territory," he muttered, claiming the bed by the window. Clothes everywhere. Noodles. Power bank. Three textbooks he probably wouldn’t open. He was busy shoving his duffel under the bed when he heard voices outside the door. --- Five years ago. Inter-house sports.high school Last day. Tobi had come last. Again. Jersey inside out, face red. Kian had come first. Neat. Perfect. Hair not even out of place. As Kian walked past him to collect his medal, he didn’t even look down. "Maybe stick to books, Tobi," he said, voice light and cutting. Tobi wiped sweat from his face. "Maybe stick to your lane, Kian." Kian smiled. That small, infuriating smile. "See you never." _Good,_ Tobi thought. _Never._ --- Back to now. Outside Room 204, Kian was late. He had one neat box and his phone pressed to his ear. "Yes, Mom," he said, walking slowly down the corridor. "I’m about to enter the room now." His mom’s voice was worried. "Be a good boy, Kian. Face your studies, okay? No distractions." Kian rolled his eyes but smiled. "Mom, you know I’m always a good boy. Since Tobi is not gonna be in this school, I don’t have any problem. It’ll be peaceful." In the background, a small voice cut in. "Kian! Kian! Don’t go!" Ella. His little sister. Kian’s face softened instantly. "Hey Ella. I’ll miss you too. Be good for Mom, alright? I’ll video call you tonight. Bye Mom. Bye Ella." He hung up, took a deep breath, and pushed the door open. Inside, a guy was bent over, shirt riding up a little, trying to force a duffel under the bed. Messy hair. Broad shoulders. _Huh,_ Kian thought. _Cute._ The guy turned around. Tobi. Wild hair. Same annoying eyebrows. Same loud mouth face. For one second, neither of them breathed. Kian’s brain crashed. The "good boy" speech. The "Tobi isn’t here" line. All of it died instantly. "Tobi," Kian said. Flat. Tobi blinked. "Kian." The silence was louder than the generator outside. Before either of them could speak, the door opened again. The hostel matron smiled, holding a clipboard. "Room 204? Tobi Adele and Kian Martins?" She looked between them. "You two will be sharing this room for the entire academic year." Kian stopped mid-step. Tobi’s jaw dropped. The matron left. The door closed. Kian and Tobi stared at each other. Roommate
