CHAPTER TWO   “Don’t wait for me to get any closer to you ‘cause when I do that, I’ll make sure that you are the first person who’ll taste my whip,” I said and looked at the butterfly sharply.   I knew that the butterfly could hear it, so I didn’t bother to shout and approach it immediately.   We heard a soft laugh, and after a while, the butterfly transformed into a fairy. The once colorful butterfly turned into a fairy with extraordinary beauty. Its wavy and upbeat golden hair is adorned with a variety of flowers. There is also a glittering diamond on the side of both her eyes, which further accentuates her beauty.   “Morgana! Why did you do that?” The tall and handsome man said with a furrowed look.   Morgana giggled and glared at my father. “He dares to insult one of the higher-ups, and I want to teach him a lesson. Is that bad?” she innocently said. The corner of my lips rose, and I spoke sarcastically. “Really? You call that as teaching my father a lesson?” I said absolutely. “How about I shoot you the same dagger you throw at me?” The smile faded from the fairy’s lips when she saw the piece of knife returning to its former form. Even those present were amazed at what I did. Just as I was about to throw the dagger at the fairy, my father spoke up. “Enough, Yexa. She’s one of your comrades, and there’s nothing wrong with what she did. I did nothing out of respect for superiors, so she just deserved to throw a knife at me.” My face turned emotionless again, and in just a snap of my fingers, I crushed the knife. The things made by my power cannot pass to others because it's more dangerous and fatal. “She’s trying to kill you. She extracts a poison on that dagger, just saying,” I said casually. “And you dare to throw that dagger to her? Are you insane?” my father turned to me angrily. I shrug my shoulders. “I just want to teach Morganna a lesson, just like what she wants to do with me.” “Yexa—” “Don’t worry, Mr. Mcdamon, I will not be poisoned by the things that I made.” The fairy said and stepped towards the other Moonchasers. “You don’t understand, Ms. Morgana. One of Yexa’s abilities was modifying every destroyed thing and made it more powerful and deadly. And for everyone’s information too, poison is also one of her ability and as far as I remember, the last person she killed explode his brain with his body intact.” Everyone looked at me, and their face was amazed at what my father had said. It seemed that they never heard any case like that before. Well, for the record, yes. It was sporadic, and if I’m not mistaken, it was me who did it for the first time. “Well, the Conclave will not choose her as the head of the Moonchasers for nothing,” the other woman said, smiling at me. “But it is possible to kill a person without damaging his physical body and only the brain? Man, that’s awesome!” the other man chirped. “It’s a very simple, dumb ass. Since you can’t do that, you’re amazed,” Morgana said with a shrug. The man laughed and looked at Morgana in disdain. “Simple? The whole time we’ve been together, you’ve never done a poison as she did.” “Are you insulting me?!” Morgana shouted angrily. “Oh, yeah, what if I am? Will you try to poison me? Oh, I forgot! You can’t, ‘cause all the poison you have we got an antidote,” the man said, smiling devilishly at Morgana. “That’s enough!” the Honchos said while glaring at them. “If you can’t get along with each other, how are you going to do your duties? Morgana,” it turned to the fairy. “You did the wrong thing, so you should apologize to her and her father.” The Honchos commanded the fairy, “And you, Diomedes,” Honchos turned to the man. “It’s Dio, Chief,” the man corrected the Honchos.   “Shut up! Every one of you holds a different kind of ability. Not to mention that all of you are a hybrid, so don’t underestimate each other’s abilities.” Everyone listened intently, and the two quarrels never spoke again.   “Alright, I guess everyone is here. Let’s start the discussion about your first mission. You can stay if you want,” Honchos turned to my father.   I saw my father stunned for the moment by what the Honchos said. He just nodded and quietly helped me get closer to them. Honchos pressed a button, and a face appeared on the table around them.   “Her name is Marga, and her ability is witchcraft. She’s making a forbidden spell and turned every mundane her puppet. She’s building her kingdom on a deserted island in Hawaii.”   “Whoa! Of all the places, why in Hawaii?” Diomedes’s exclaimed.   “It’s a favorite place where many mortals love to visit.” The Honchos pressed a bottom to zoom in on the map. “This is also her property, ‘The Cloud Island,’ the famous tourist spot in Hawaii. The owner of this island and one of Marga’s trusted staff, Frederick Stec.” He released a picture of a man in his thirties.   “How did that happen to be owned by a witch? All the tourists say that it was stunning and safe in that place! There are no missing people and crimes recorded in that place,” said one of my companions.   “That’s because she manipulates everyone who enters her territory,” I replied.   “That’s correct,” Honchos said. “Using another forbidden spell, she cast a spell that can erase every mortal’s memory. Imagine, millions of people are coming to that place, and in an instant, their existence is drop out.”   “That b***h!” Morgana snarled, clenching her fists.   “You need to stop her and arrest her. That way, we can stop her from sowing evil and save the people she enslaves.”   “So, what’s the plan?” Diomedes asked seriously.   “You need to pretend you’re an ordinary mortal and enter her lair,” Honchos replied.   “Okay, shoot, that’s very easy,” Diomedes said with a smile.   “No, it’s not. By pretending to be an ordinary mortal, you need to erase your memory and seal your ability. Marga is too powerful, she can sense if another creature is in her territory, and that is what we need to avoid to have a successful plan to arrest her.   “Are you telling us to enter her territory without any memory of our mission? How can we do that if we do not remember?” a guy asks with a furrowed forehead.   “That’s why we need to find a person who can erase and hide your power. That way, there will be no problem with this mission.” Honchos looked at Morgana, indicating that she had the ability they needed.”   “The ability to disguise, there is no problem, I can do it. When will we start?” Morgana’s said.   “Are you serious? Yes, that’s one of your abilities, but how can you hide all of our power at once? You are not that strong enough to do that.” Diomedes anxiously said. “He’s right. Based on what I see, the only thing you can use your ability is three to four of us, including yourself. What about our two colleagues?” the man with a slanted eye agreed. I bet he’s the one who’s acting as the leader of this group. “Zane, don’t you underestimate my ability! Of all the people, you know my ability more!” Morgana said in a grumpy voice. I sighed. It seemed to everyone here that only Morgana was tough to get along with. I wanted to say that I could do what Honchos asked Morgana to do, but by the looks of it, I’ll prefer to shut my mouth and let the fairy do what she wants. Copying and modifying are some of my abilities. I can also do it with the person I am holding with, but I can only do that if the person’s power is activated. Britton told her that I got the power from my mother. When my mother died, she passed on the power she had inherited from her grandfather to me. Not everyone has this kind of ability, and that is the one that proves how special I am from others.
