Lily had no family. Well, no family close and valued enough that she would want to visit them. She had actually told a small lie. She was leaving because it would be the night of the full moon in two more days, and she did not want to be around anyone, lest she hurt another person. She made her way home in a carriage that the Duke had allowed her the use of in order for her to return home and travelled for the better part of the night in order to make time.
