Ellie furnished some of the rooms with this in mind, even buying sunglasses for the women to wear in the common areas of the dorm, and installing dimmer switches. She spent a lot of time studying the feelings and needs of the New Species in order to be good at her job, which became almost her obsession.
Glancing around, Ellie recognized some others present. She smiled at Mike Torres from the men's dorm when he winked at her. He seemed like a nice guy, in his early thirties, and had been flirting with Ellie since her first day at Homeland.
