Over four hundred died during the revolution, with the majority either British or civilians. Some eighty Irish rebels were killed, and taking into account the number of battles and skirmishes fought, this number could be considered light. Fitzhugh could not help but contemplate how much worse things could have been if the Aud had delivered her guns, yet also fumed at the number, which could very easily have been zero.
