Epilogue

Lieutenant Spindler got his vessel up to full speed, leaving the Setter II behind, which turned back to its own port once it saw the Aud was safely underway. There was no way their presence could remain hidden now, and any chance of getting the weapon to the Irish was gone. If the dummkopf English captain was correct, they had been extraordinarily lucky not to have been uncovered so far.
What the German could not know was that the Royal Navy had indeed been keeping an eye on the Aud since her arrival, and were waiting for the local Irish rebels to make contact with the vessel so that they could capture everyone in a sting operation.
