Rejuvenated and refreshed, we headed down the gloomy, broken city side street toward the other side where Osiris’s castle sat. The houses seemed to look more decrepit with every house we passed. They were really rundown; the siding was falling off and left the bare, rotting wood exposed. I shivered as I looked up at a dark and gloomy mansion. It loomed over the street with its dark windows. The siding had fallen at the top of the windows, making the old mansion look like it was staring at us angrily. The enormous redwood front door was slacked off its hinges and leaned against a front porch support. The two windows on the lower floor were dark and broken.
