Cautiously, we looked around after we had made it through the passageway, and we were in a round room with a wooden door. The small room was solid rock and looked like someone had come in with some kind of machine and rounded the room.
“What is this place?” asked Sam in wonder as he looked around.
Mariah looked at the door and pushed on it gently, and the wooden door swung open.
“The entrance,” Mariah said, frankly, as she gestured inside the doorway.
Cautiously, we walked through the door, and we came to a much larger area. It was an enormous room with a deep cavern. As I looked around the room, I noticed there were two rock platforms on each side of the room that jutted out from the walls. We were standing on one of the platforms as we ventured out from the small wooden door.
