“Wow!” I heard Izzy say.
“This is so cool!” I heard Jacob exclaim.
Frightened, I kept my eyes shut. I wanted to know what was so amazing, but I was afraid if I opened my eyes that I would lose my concentration. If that happened, then I was sure that the amulet would stop working and the demon army would spot us. I felt a breath on the side of my neck.
“Go ahead Sammy. Open your eyes,” I heard Jason whisper in my ear.
His breath tickled the little hairs on the back of my neck. I wasn’t sure if I should open my eyes.
“It’s alright,” he whispered, encouragingly.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. We were all encased inside a shimmering blueish, purple dome. It was so pretty, even with the ugly background of the dark realm.
“Come on! We don’t have much time,” said Mariah.
