Vanessa sat beside her mother as she began to explain things to her. "I saw him two days ago and he's working as a coffee maker. I told him to leave me alone but he wouldn't. So I taught him a little lesson." she smiles bitterly as she continued. "Do you know what pains me most, mom? A scrawny brat that works there too confronted me this morning. She called me an ugly piece of trash and an obnoxious snub and.... I couldn't do or say anything, that is what pains me the most. " I stood there and watched that poor woman belittle me, oh my God." her mother pulls her in an embrace as she continued to sob. "Shh, it's going to be alright. Let me handle this and as for Jason, you dealt well with him and if he ever pester you again, let me know, okay?" Amelia consoles her, her face looking pissed off. "Okay, thanks mom." Vanessa replies. 'Who is that scrawny rat that had the guts to insult her daughter, she made a very big mistake.' Amelia said in her mind. ***** Olivia went to throw the trash outside after closing from work. The day had been a hectic one. She had also checked on Jason a few times to make sure he was okay which he said he was. She had decided to drop by at his place and check on him again before heading home. All of sudden, she was gripped by two bulky men dressed in black. They dragged her towards a black jeep parked across the street. "Hey! Who are you?! Let me go this instant," she yells and struggles to free herself but they didn't budge. The back door opens. At first, she feared that it was him and that he had come for them but instead an elderly woman came down. She looked young and elegant but Oliva knew she could be around her forties. "Who are you?" she asked, eyeing the woman from head to toe, she looked rich no doubt. "I've come to return a favor." the woman replies and slaps Olivia on her right cheek. Olivia's eyes widened in shock. "This one is for insulting my daughter. Wretched girls like you should be wiping her bottom and you think she's an ugly piece of trash? Haa - you are not even worth her hair, not even a strand of it." It was then that Olivia realized that this woman was actually the socialite witch's mother. Like mother, like daughter. " I did nothing wrong to deserve this. Your daughter went too far in - - " Another slap was registered on her other cheek. The pain was stinging. "This is for talking back at me and this -" Amelia landed one more slap on her cheek. "Is just a warning to you." With that, she entered her car and the men pushed Olivia to the ground. Then they entered the car and drove off. Wayne rushed to her to help her up. "Vy! Are you alright? Who were those people?" Olivia nods and rubs her cheeks. "Am okay, just don't mention any of this to Jason." she says to him. Wayne explodes. "Whaaaat! Why?" "Please, just don't. He'll be really mad and the last thing I want is for his anger to be triggered." she pleads with him. Wayne nods and mutters a response. Olivia applied ice on her cheeks before heading to Jason's place. "Jason?" she called out but got no response. She checked his room and bathroom but he was not there. Then she entered the kitchen and found him there, frying potato chips. "Jason!" He turns and smiles at her. "You came just in time. I made your favorite, potato chips with sauce. Come on, have a seat." he said as he served food on the table. Olivia sat down and began to eat while he brought water for her. "What?" she snaps at him when she noticed that he just stood there, watching her intently. "What do you think about the food?" "It's delicious as always. Why are not you eating?" she asked him. "I'll eat later. You don't look happy." he observed. Olivia sighs and stops eating, searching for an excuse. "Uhm.... It's nothing relevant." she said, looking around the house as if she's new there. "What happened to your cheeks. There's a red print on both sides of your face." he said again, coming closer to her.
