" Sometimes we meet someone and feel like we have known them all our lives. " "He wants to see you now" the man she knew as Eli spoke as he entered the room she was kept in. Her mouth was closed shut with the tape and hands tied with the rope. "Get up" he ordered walking towards her and pulling her off the couch she was settled on. Mia was very sure she was going to be killed in a while. She was in a huge mess. "Hold still you b***h," the man spoke he forcefully yanked her hair making her cry in pain. "You f*****g bi-" "Eli" the voice stopped him from continuing whatever torture he was about to do on her. Even though her eyes were filled with water, she could see who stood at the door. The very same man who brought her here. "Xavier," Eli spoke with bitterness in his voice, he turned his face towards the door yanking a handful of Mia's hair in his hand. "Do you need anything?" "The boys are asking for you." He spoke as he entered the room, not once glancing towards Mia. "I am actually kinda busy here, I need someone to learn manners " Eli answered forcing Mia to stumble on the floor with the force he used. "You guys need to leave, I will take her to Kevin, you can leave, " Xavier said as he stood there with his face still not paying a tin of attention to the girl lying on the floor. "Guess, I will have to miss the fun. Take her to Kevin and god damned teach her something!" He yelled walking out of the room leaving both of them alone. "Get up," he said as he took hold of her tightened hand helping her up. Mia's eyes were watered from the pain, but she refused to show him that. She didn't want to be projected weak and vulnerable in front of him. "Look in my eyes princess," he demanded in the same intimidating voice. It was not a choice it was an order. When Mia refused to oblige and look in his eyes his rough hands travelled to her chin, roughly making her look at him. "When I tell you to do something you do it, I don't like ignorance. " He spoke with his yet so dark eyes. But now she could see the colour, the bright green colour of his eyes, covered with his dark aura. Mia meekly nodded not wanting any more trouble than she had already got herself into. He didn't say anything else, he took hold of her forearm forcing her out of the room. They climbed down the stairs of the house, she couldn't see before because of the blindfold on. It was a large and glamorous mansion. Xavier stopped suddenly in front of a large door, as an impact Mia collided directly on his back. Whoa, he got muscles. She thought to herself as her hand touched his back. She couldn't see his reaction but she sure could feel that she was going to be beaten up. But he didn't even pay any heat to it, instead, his large hands moved forward to grip the handles of the door but before he could open it, he pushed Mia to the sidewall, yet pinning her again. "Listen to me," he started and once looked around himself as if to see if there was anybody around. When he was satisfied he returned his gaze to Mia. "Don't say anything idiotic. Just tell him that you heard some noises and you got scared and ran away the reason I got suspicious and brought you here. Do you understand? Don't say you heard anything. " He hissed in her ear. He was trying to protect her, from whoever there was inside. She nodded slowly unable to form what was going on. First, this man kidnaps her here and now he is trying to protect her. "Don't scream. " He warned before he bends forward and removed the tape from her mouth in an instant. Ouch, that really hurts. The pain commended her to scream on top of this world but before she could do that the rough palm covered her mouth. "Don't you listen? " He asked again with the annoying glint clear in his eyes. "Why?" Mia muttered in a slow voice. She was surprised he was even able to hear it. "What why?" "Why are you trying to protect me?" She asked in the voice-only predictable to him. As if realisation hit him hard. He backed away from her and removed his hands from the wall corresponding to her. "I don't think you are worthy enough to be killed by me. You disgust me." He answered not meeting her eyes. Of course, what was she even thinking? She nodded again, not able to form an answer to that. "Let's go" he ordered taking her tied arm and opening the door along this time. The inside looked like a large closed up office. As soon as both of them entered every eye in the room turned to them. There were men holding cigarettes in their hands. Their bodies were built and consumed with tattoos, but none looked as gorgeous as Xavier did. "Ahh, let's look what Xavier got for us this time." One of the men spoke smirking at her and moving forward towards her. She couldn't understand what she could do to protect herself but the only thing that stroke her head was Xavier. As the man tried to get hold of her hand, she backed up against Xavier, unsure if it was a smart move. "John leaves the girl alone, I am here to get her to Kevin." He explained not paying any attention to the trembling Mia on his back. Get her? Was he going to leave her alone with his boss? "Xavier" a voice spoke dividing everyone's attention. A man entered the room, his body was not all covered in tattoos like all others but the aura of danger was clear around him. His one eye had a cut around it reaching to his cheek. Mia was scared of him. "Eli told me what you got tonight. Mia is it?" The man spoke presenting his attention to her. He knew her name. She just nodded as an answer, not able to look him in the eye. "Now I am going to make this very simple for you pretty girl." He chuckled in a low voice as if he already knew what impact he was causing. She could feel the terror settling inside her, as she looked around to observe where Xavier was. But all her expectations failed when she didn't see him around the place, instead, he was walking towards the door as if he was walking out. "Don't look around, they are all my man baby, no one is going to save you " Kevin muttered again settling a series of a laugh around the hall. She didn't even notice when his hands were brought in his hair pulling it strongly he made her look at him. "What were you doing there? And how much did you hear?" He asked pulling her hair tighter waiting for her answer. "I...I was at the b..bar and they k..kicked me out when it got late. I...I was just passing the block w...when I heard some noises and I...I got scared and started running. I am sorry. I...I swear I didn't hear any...anything." She answered what Xavier told her to, she wanted to be smart here and get out of here alive. "Take her upstairs and send Xavier to me" that man ordered dropping her roughly on the floor. She shrieked from the impact but didn't dare to make a noise. She heard the mutters of yes before she was forced to move out of the room. As she was roughly pulled by the person out, she could see Xavier going inside through the same door. Was he really trying to save her?
