“You meet thousands of people who don’t connect with you. And then you meet that one special person                                                                    and your life is changed. Forever.” "1012, 1013, 1014, 1016, wait I forget 15, wait what was- s**t!" Mia cursed as she started counting the stars again for the fourth time. "Mia," the person whispered. She knew the voice, she had an ideal room, she had been here for about a whole day now, from time to time someone came to give her something to eat. But the place was getting lonely and all she did was count the stars from the window to pass time. Suddenly she heard the front door opening as light entered the room. She twinkled and rubbed her eyes to see clearly the person entering the room. As soon as the door opened, it closed but it was rather clear that someone who it was. Xavier moved forward as the moonlight reached his face from the window. He looked just the same as he looked the day she first saw her. The moonlight glanced through his lips and then his eyes glittering over his whole body now. "How do you all know my name?" She asked calmly pushing herself further back leaning against the wall. It's important to find all the details about the person we bring along." He answered instantly which she was not expecting. All of a sudden he bent down in front of her, with his face immensely close to her. "W..what is about to happen to me?" She asked with her voice breaking in between. After everything, she was not really sure she could make it out of here. He didn't answer for a solid minute it was as if he was giving her an answer with silence. Unexpectedly he bent forward even closer to her face than before. Her breath hitched as his face was just an inch away from her. His lips close to hers and all constantly as he maintained to continuously stare into her eyes. "What are you d..doing? " Mia asked stumbling in forming a sentence. Her eyes closed almost on their own as she felt him move further towards her. His breath fell on her face as his lips touched her ear lobe a bit. "You are going home" he announced as his hands reached her back fondling with the rope tied to her hands. Her eyes opened in surprise. She was getting free. "You..you are letting me go?" She asked with surprise evident in her voice. She gasped as her hands got free. Before she could process anything Xavier's hands reached her waist pulling her up to stand on the ground. "Do you really think it would be that easy?" He chuckled bitterly at her. "I am coming with you, to keep an eye out on you. Also, you will be telling your family that you are going back to New York and you don't want to be in contact with anyone and if you fail to do so, the result will be death." He explained stealing the last hitch of breath from her. She would have to separate herself from her family. They just became happy and were together, she didn't want to leave all of this here. What was happening to her? "The tears won't work baby if you want to live to do as we say. Understood?" He forced his hands tightly pressing on her waist, almost hurting her. "Please..." She cried as the tears passed her cheeks. "Let me go please, I will not tell anyone, just let me go. " She pleaded with her head lying low and the tears running down her bare cheeks. "It's annoying when you cry, so dramatic princess." He said as if this was not affecting him at all. Why would it anyways? "This is the only way, call your family and tell them you are taking a break from all this drama and going back to New York, don't even think about telling them anything else. You won't like the consequences." He jammed as he pushed her body away from him, pushing her down on the floor. Everyone here was close to a monster. "I don't think you have the time to sit around and burst in your fake lethal tear, call your brother." He said as he pounced the phone on her lap. She had to do this to save her family. They would be safe at least. She took the phone in her hand and dialled his number. Ian picked up after two rings. "Hello?" Hearing his voice almost made her cry all over again. "Hey, brother" Mia exclaimed in fake excitement. "Mia? Oh, God! Where the in hell are you?!" Ian shouted from the other end. "I am so sorry, I actually went to have drinks with my friends after the baby shower and then it got late so I stayed at Tia's house and forget to call. Sorry about that!" She faked a reason, hoping he would believe her. She had been careless many times before and the reason wouldn't Be very hard to believe. "You are still so reckless, you got us all so worried. It doesn't matter now, you are okay, right?" He asked with concern filled his voice. "Yeah yeah, Of course. Ian listen " she trailed off with her head hanging low. How was she going to say all of this? A rough hand got a grip of her chin forcing her to look at him. "Do it " Xavier whispered, the warning very clear in his eyes. She didn't have any other option. "Wait is someone else with you? Is it a boy? God damn it, Mia, I am going to kill you-" "I am leaving for New York tonight. " She announced finally with her eyes still stuck with him. "My..my assistant called me about a project and for that, I have to be in New York." "Wow, but you could have waited. Like for some time before leaving and-" "It is a really important Ian and I think it's finally time I focus my attention on my career instead of always being involved in this whole family drama." "What? Mia... What do you-" "I am sick of this okay? I want a break from all of you! Just because you have accepted dad back into your life's doesn't mean I have to, I need a break and that's why I am leaving for New York and please, I don't want any of you to contact me during this time. Just let me be." She said it all finally. She could just imagine how much she was hurting him. He didn't deserve any of this. "I...I didn't know you felt this way. You could have talked to me or Lisa but-" "I don't want to talk to anyone about this Ian! I am leaving and that's final. Don't try to call me. Take care of yourself and Lisa for me. Goodbye." She said as she cut off the phone. How could she do this to her own family? "You did good, let's get going." Xavier trailed getting off the floor. "You are a monster! I hate you! I f*****g hate you!" She shouted with every ounce of hate in her for the man in front of her. She thought he was trying to save her. Guess she was wrong all along. "Does it look like I care princess? Keep this anger to yourself, I can crush you with my little finger." He warned looking deadly in her eyes. "I can be your worst nightmare baby, don't force me to make your life even more equivalent to hell." He challenged walking out of the room. All that was left with Mia, was her silent prayers that nobody seemed to be answering.
