Unexplained Passion

Hades "You've had too much to drink, Hades. You shouldn't go to the party like this. There will be important guests," said my beta, Soth, looking at me with disapproval. "There's no better guest than me. Besides, I already know what will happen: all the she-wolves in that pack will believe and hope I choose them as mates. It won't happen. I've been to many places already and she hasn't appeared. Maybe I'm destined to be alone," I replied, smirking sarcastically. All I could do was have fun, find someone to spend my heat with, and then conquer the lands that suited me. "I'm going," I insisted. I liked provoking anger in others, especially when they wanted to marry me off. My beta frowned. He was annoyed, he didn't like my behavior. He told me there was more to life than just having fun, killing, and conquering territories. He always said I had to learn the gift of mercy, that I should know love. As if I hadn't tried. I had searched for my mate for many years and had never found her. That made me angry. That made me drink to avoid the emptiness of the love I didn't possess. "At least you can enter through the back door so no one notices your state," he reproached. "The party is very lively, but they'll recognize you soon. You can stay hidden for at least a while until it wears off." "If my mate isn't here, then I'll kill them all," I smiled, my eyes fixed on that huge hall inside the castle. His warnings mattered little to me. However, I used the back door to avoid further disagreements with him. We were good friends and I didn't want any resentment to build up. Soth was looking for a mate; he had been obsessed with her imminent appearance for a long time. I had already resigned myself to my fate. Blood was the best for me. Only by hunting did I feel alive. When I destroyed the other territories of the other wolves, I could perfectly unleash my wolf and become powerful. That's why my name was Hades: everyone feared me. I entered the door discreetly. I wanted to listen a bit to those wolves so I could decide who to kill first if Soth didn't find anyone. If they deserved it, then I would make them pay. If I heard even one negative comment about me, blood would be spilled. My hearing was so acute that I could hear everything very attentively. I would take advantage of it now, because the effects of all the drink I had would make me dizzy in a few seconds. Oh, it didn't matter, I could kill them even with my eyes closed. They were all weak compared to me. I felt a little dizzy, I was more playful. That scent, that scent brought me here, to the darkest part of the party. My wolf's instinct led me there without even paying attention to the path. It was a hidden place in the bright and ostentatious hall. There I saw her, with beautiful brown hair framing her face. Her eyes were green, intense, beautiful. I got lost in them immediately. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, slender with perfect curves. Her face was delicate and angelic. She had an intriguing gaze, an almost overpowering scent, a scent that I loved so much I could barely think. "It's her," said my wolf, who was frenzied. I stood motionless watching her. She was coming towards me without looking at me, her eyes on the ground. She didn't notice me at all. When she bumped into me, spilling chocolate all over me and soaking my shirt, I didn't even react. All my senses were numb. I shook my head to wake myself from that trance. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her away from the crowd. I didn't want anyone to see her, I wanted her to be mine alone. Moon, that was her name. I ordered her to take off her dress. I wanted her to obey me. She hesitated, trembling. The effect of having drunk so much began to cloud my mind, my instincts. My wolf voice wanted me to claim her right then and there. I kissed her on the lips without thinking twice. I felt her heartbeat, heard her breathing. The dizziness overpowered me. She obeyed my orders slowly, with a seductive lethality that I would never forget. I lost myself in every curve of her perfect body, drinking from her skin, kissing every part. ... "What have you been doing? Damn, you're very drunk." Something woke me up. No way, I rubbed my eyes forcefully. Could it have all been a dream? That beautiful woman I was with... She was the chosen one for me. I was sure of it. I remembered her body under mine, how we had been together in that hallway. "Soth, I found my mate," I said immediately, standing up. It was already morning. Damn it, if I hadn't drunk so much, I would now remember everything that happened in luxurious detail. "Go back to sleep, Hades, you'll wake up feeling better. You're making it all up, you didn't even show up at the party. I didn't see you all night." Soth looked at me with annoyance, he was in his human form. I found myself at the camp, on the outskirts, where we had settled before attending the party. I must have come back here while under the influence of the drink, after spending the best night of my life. "Because I was with her," I insisted. "I have to find her, I have to bring her back. She's my mate, the one I've been looking for for years..." Soth didn't believe a single word I was saying. I couldn't understand it, I remembered every second I was with her, how we had melted into each other with unbridled passion, hidden there in the hallway. She was so beautiful, the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. I wanted her by my side, I wanted to have her all to myself. I needed to find her. I transformed into a wolf, the imposing transformation that would terrify everyone present. I was black, my fur extremely shiny, my size was larger than any other alpha. My presence caused everyone to fall at my feet trembling. My fangs were as sharp as swords and my claws were the fear of many villages. "I will go now to find my mate," I declared, growling. My wolf was enraged at not having her.
