Sister

1051 Words
I stood there, removing all the scent of that alpha, fighting against that irresistible instinct that pushed me to want to get out of the bathroom to chase him, to find him. The attraction I felt for him was something I couldn't explain in words. His scent, it was the most exquisite thing in the world. My sister would be back, I was sure. She always solved all my problems. I knew I wasn't good at thinking or venturing into new things, my weakness was very noticeable. I always remembered my mother's words, who repeated that I was an accident, a failed wolf who couldn't survive long outside the house. Naroke was a witch, the pack's healer. She had the power to create different potions and heal the wounded. Her powers were known throughout all territories. Her place in the pack was important, everyone respected her. Me, almost nobody respected me. Everyone looked at me like I was garbage, a nuisance. I opened my closet, coming out of the shower, already clean of the strong smell, and looked for my simple white blouse with my classic skirt. It was the simple clothes I always used to avoid attracting anyone's attention. I heard footsteps approaching, Naroke must have been there too. They opened the door with a bang, a dry thud. The noise scared me. It was so hard for me to be brave. "Moon, I have the solution to your worries..." said Dawn, taking my hand and smiling with great enthusiasm. I smiled too. Being saved from the clutches of death was a wonderful thing. This hope made me trust them immediately. My mother was also there, I hadn't seen her arrive. I looked at her and she threw me her look of contempt. "Hurry up." My mother said to the witch. "If they come for Moon, they will kill her for her insolence, they will tear her to pieces." That terrified me, my mother was trying to protect me at all costs. She hugged me, just like Dawn. We melted into a hug of despair. That's when Naroke, with her gray hair and deep, clear eyes, took out a container with a potion. A vial with a silvery liquid inside. "This will help you; no one will hurt you. Because no one will ever recognize you again. When you wake up, you will forget everything. Your scent will disappear." Her words made my blood run cold with fear. The bad feeling grew and I tried to run to escape from there. "Run" my wolf commanded, instinct told me to escape from there right now. My sister and mother held me tight before I could do anything. They were immobilizing me. I didn't understand what was happening. It was complete madness, my mother was squeezing my arm, as was my sister. Both were preventing me from moving. Naroke approached me, placing the vial in my mouth and forcing me to drink it No matter how hard I tried not to swallow it, they forced me to. The liquid went down my throat, burning me entirely. I fell to the ground, they let go of me suddenly. I let out a howl of pain, because my stomach burned terribly. I tried to walk, without success, something else was happening to me. A feeling of numbness invaded my face, preventing me from screaming again. I didn't understand what was happening to my body. My face hurt as if something was burning me. "I'm sorry, Moon, it's not what I wanted to happen. But you dared to be with an alpha, the alpha who was supposed to be for your sister. You manipulated him into sleeping with you and now you will pay the price of being a slut." My mother spoke slowly, as if she were scolding me for a silly thing. My eyes were filled with tears of despair. I couldn't move my mouth to scream, I was completely mute. I tried to get up from the ground, my body hurting intensely. I was about to faint, experiencing dizziness that increased more and more. "The alpha will come for his mate and he will find Dawn, she is the one destined to be with him. And you, dear daughter, will be sold to a slaver. You will have to work for a living, that's what you will do. Nobody will help you here, because nobody will recognize you." That's when I dragged myself a few meters on the floor, before finally fainting. Every minute I was losing strength, as if I was dying. I lifted my head to look at myself in the mirror. I would have let out a scream of terror if only I could have. Nothing remained of my old face, the witch had completely changed my features. She had made my lips sealed, my skin look dry and lifeless, my eyes were small and almost red. Every part of my skin seemed burnt, my hair was completely different, a dull gray color. There was nothing left of my long, brown mane. My sister smiled, triumphant. Tears rolled down my burnt, completely changed face. Nobody would recognize me, it was true, not even my own father. They left me alone in the room, while I crawled painfully on the floor, like a ghost. My life was being completely destroyed and I couldn't fight to stop it. My mother, she agreed to all this torture. I trusted them, they were my family, they were the ones who should protect me. Why was she doing this to me? Why were they hurting me so much? It wasn't fair… I lost consciousness quickly, hitting the ground. I would lose all memory of my alpha, of what had happened... Everything would be different when I woke up. I didn't want it, I fought with all my strength to hold onto my memories. My wolf roared, as if we could fight back, as if something could change. We were weak, we always would be. "We will avenge ourselves…" my wolf murmured, speaking forcefully to me, even though I was falling into a deep sleep. Her words echoed in my heart, in my soul. It was something that was slowly being engraved on me. I closed my sore eyes, as all the sounds faded suddenly.
