The tension in the room was thick enough to choke on, but I didn’t care. There was nothing left to lose, and that realization brought with it a sense of reckless freedom. I fixed Mr. Hale with a glare so sharp it could cut glass, my chest heaving with the fury that had been building inside me for months.
“You know what?” I began, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and liberation. “You are the most arrogant, infuriating piece of s**t I have ever met! Congratulations, Sabastine Hale. You’ve officially set a new low for men everywhere!”
