Chapter 13: Home

I was curled up on Cillian sleeping soundly, when I felt the car cross an invisible barrier. I opened my eyes and stretched out as Dimitri drove us through the pack territory and pulled up in front of the pack house. Cillian opened the door and stepped out of the car, gently sliding me out beside him and we made our way to the house where Terrance and Ellie, who was holding Amber, were waiting. I smiled and hugged Ellie and Amber, embracing Terrance as well.

"Alpha, Luna, welcome home." Terrance said with a smile.

"I never noticed how amazing the air smelled up here." I said lightly as I took deep breaths, Cillian laughed and kissed my forehead. Henry came jogging around the corner followed by a group of wolves in training gear.

"Welcome home, Luna and Alpha!" Henry said. I smiled at him and took his hand.

"How is training Henry?" I asked, he sighed as the warriors behind him rested for a moment.

"I'm not sure Luna, I mean personally, I think it's going great, but Ed walks around scowling all the time." Henry confessed.

"I'll talk to him Henry." I said. He smiled and waved bye before he and the trainees took off jogging again.

"I'm gonna go change then go see Ed. I'll catch up with you guys later." I said to Cillian and our Beta family. I pecked Cillian's lips before I walked into the pack-house and put on the training clothes I kept there. I jogged to the training field as Ed began drilling the warriors. I walked over by his side and saw why he was unimpressed. The warriors were slacking off, their maneuvers and technique were sloppy, they weren't defending themselves properly and they were way too relaxed. 

"Wolves stop." The warriors turned to look at me, so did Ed who hadn't realized I had shown up. "You are not taking training seriously enough. You are too relaxed, you are not defending yourselves as you should and your technique is a complete mess. I want all of you to work harder, you never know when rouges will attack. You must be in fighting shape at all times, I want you all to spar as if your partner were a blood rouge. Start." I watched as the wolves went back to sparring, each pair did significantly better.

"Thank you Ashlyn, I wasn't sure if I was losing my training edge or not." Ed said from beside me.

"You are the greatest trainer on this earth Ed, never doubt that. I mean you did train this warrior." I said smugly flipping my hair, he laughed and gave me a hug. 

"You are my greatest accomplishment Luna." I smiled as I turned my attention back to the warriors who looked like a real group of fighters. I heard Henry run up with his group of trainees, Ed and I turned to them and Henry watched our warriors with wide eyes.

"I don't think I have ever seen them look like trained soldiers." Henry said looking at them. 

"This is what you newer trainees will be doing in about a year or so, get ready." Ed said looking at the group who were watching the full trained warriors. 

"I expect nothing less than excellence from each one of you." I said to them. "Every warrior you see sparring today I trained with, once you get to their level I will be sparring each and every one of you." They looked at me in amazement and nodded. 

"Luna Ashlyn!" A warrior named Brody said running over to me, drenched in sweat.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Will you do me the honor of being my sparring buddy." I thought for a minute and sighed, Cillian would kill me if I did.

"I wish I could Brody, but I cannot. I will explain at our pack dinner tonight okay?" I said with a sad smile. He bowed with a smirk and nodded.

"Of course Luna Ashlyn." He said before jogging off. I whimpered at not being able to spar for another six months and Ed looked at me curiously. I grabbed his hand and we went to his office, I closed the door as Ed sat on his desk.

"I'm pregnant Ed." I said, a huge smile plastered itself on his face and he pulled me into a very tight hug. 

"That is amazing!" He said loudly. He held onto my shoulders and looked at my still flat stomach and let out a large breath. "I see why you cant spar now. Even if it is killing you on the inside kiddo."

"Once I have my pup, Cillian is on baby duty until I get my fill of sparring." I said crossing my arms while Ed laughed. 

"I better get some pup time in too." I smiled at him, but before I could say anything Cillian linked me.

(Cillian: Can you come to the office Ash? I got an email you need to read.)

(Ashlyn: I'll be there in a few minutes Cill.) I refocused my eyes and smiled at Ed again before speaking.

"Luna duty calls, I'll see you at dinner tonight Ed."

"I'll talk to you soon hun." I left his office and walked straight to the Alpha office in the pack house where Cillian was waiting for me. I sat on his lap as he smelled my skin and growled lowly.

"It was Ed, Cill. No other wolf will ever have permission to touch me." I said looking at him, he sent me a shy smirk and pulled up his email. I saw it was from Alpha Darius, I scrolled down and red the message he sent.

"Dear Alpha Cillian and Luna Ashlyn,

 I would like to create an alliance with you, from what I hear your pack is #3 in the US behind Black-paw and Moon-stone. My pack is ranking down at #7 and I would like that to change. We can offer you numbers and a retreat place, in case your lands get flooded by blood rouges. In exchange I would like some of your warriors to come to my home and train my warriors. 

Alpha Darius."

I thought for a moment and sighed as I ran a hand through my hair. 

"It's not a terrible idea, but who would we send?" Cillian asked.

"The only warrior I know who turn a pathetic group of wolves into well trained soldiers is Ed." I sighed.

"What is it?" Cillian asked sensing my hesitation.

"I wanted to talk to you about this later, but I would like Ed to be the godfather of our little one." Cillian pulled me into him tighter.

"I think Ed will be the perfect godfather." Cillian said placing his lips on my head. "What if we send Ed for the length of the pregnancy, once our pup is born, we can send another warrior in his place. Ed can beat them into shape, then the second warrior can continue the training."

"That is an amazing idea Cill, we should tell the pack at dinner before we announce the pregnancy."

"Speaking of, we should get ready for dinner love, after we send a response."

"Alpha Darius,

 Luna Ashlyn and I have decided to agree to the alliance, in a short while I will accompany some warriors to your pack and we can sign a formal document. 

  Alpha Cillian."

"Perfect now lets go." I said standing up and heading to the room we kept in the pack-house. We both put on casual clothes, pants and t-shirts with light jackets seeing as it was early November. We walked to the pack dining hall and sat at the head table next to Terrance's family and Henry. Everyone ate and had their own conversations. After an hour Cillian stood and clinked his glass, the entire pack turned to him and he smiled at them all.

"It is good to be home." He said making our member's smile. "Now, Luna Ashlyn and I have a bit of news, please hold your questions until the end." Our pack nodded and Cillian smiled before continuing. "I received an email today after I got home, Moon-lake we are going to accept and Alliance with Alpha Darius's pack. In doing so we are going to send a few warriors to his pack, the only warrior Luna Ashlyn and I both know who can train his warriors up correctly is our first warrior, Ed." I smiled at Ed who waved at me and smiled. "Ash, would you do the honor?" Cillian asked and I stood next to him.

"Moon-lake, I am happy to announce that Alpha Cillian and I have an heir on the way." Our pack cheered and howled in euphoria the way Cillian and I did when we found out. I waited until they all turned back to me before looking at Ed. "I would also like to ask you Ed, to be the godfather of the little Alpha." He stood and walked over and pulled me into a hug and nodded on my shoulder.

"It would be my honor Luna Ashlyn." He said as he pulled away from me and shook Cillian's hand.

"Just so you are aware, you will train Darius's pack for the length of the pregnancy, then you would come home and Dimitri would take your place as head trainer." I said before he returned to his seat.

"That sounds absolutely wonderful Luna." He beamed. Ed returned to his seat and I smiled. My smile slowly faded as I began to feel sick to my stomach, I faked a smile for the pack.

"If you would all excuse me for a minute, I'll be right back." I said to the pack after a few minutes I walked to the closest bathroom and puked up my dinner into the toilet. Once I was empty and done dry heaving I washed my face in the sink and swished water around my mouth. I walked out of the bathroom, to see Cillian waiting for me. He brushed my hair from my face and kissed my forehead before putting his arm around my shoulder and walking us toward the front door.

"We can stay a little longer Cill." I said.

"Nope, I'm taking my wife with pregnancy sickness home, where she will lay in bed and watch a favorite movie of hers." My stomach did back flips when Cillian called me his wife.

"Ohhh, which one?" I asked biting my bottom lip.

"How about...Jurassic park?" I squealed with delight and Cillian laughed as he pulled me to our car and drove me home. I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower before brushing my teeth and putting on a pair of underwear and a random tank top. I went to the living room and curled up on the couch while Cillian went to the bedroom and took his turn getting ready for bed. He came out as the T-rex escaped the paddock. Cillian sat down with me as I leaned into his shoulder, I peeked at his attire and saw he only had on a pair of white briefs that left nothing to the imagination.
