Chapter 6: Crescent wolf

"The day of my first shift, my parents changed, they favored Alexa and babied her while they forgot about me. I lied to you on the camping trip, I never told Mary and John about the nightmares, because they didn't even care enough to make sure I wasn't dying every night. Hell after we got back Mary called me vermin and sent me to live in the basement. Then I heard what you said to your father and I realized the only person I had was my wolf. I spiraled, I wouldn't eat or drink, Mary and John didn't notice neither did Alexa. If Ed hadn't come around to check on me I would have died of dehydration." I sighed and took a few breaths while Cillian held me tighter.

"After that I shut you all out and buried my emotions. I couldn't stand being near any of you, when you called me into your office I debated on going or not. I'm not gonna lie Cillian, it hurt when you felt the need to beg me to not start s**t. I don't know if Terrance told you but I left for a while, to try and find my mate so I could leave this life behind. I got home last night, and you already know about today. What you don't know is the wolf who told me how to break a bond, he told me a few things about Crescent wolves. He said they are a blood line, and that only the wolves with the blood who are worthy of the mark, are Crescent wolves. The nightmares I have, they are all Crescent wolves, I see how each Crescent wolf of the past died. Well the painful deaths anyway. The wolf I talk to, his name is Slate." I let him process for a moment before continuing. "There is a way you can identify a Crescent wolf, after they shift for the first time, a mark appears on their right wrist, its a crescent moon with an outline to make it stand out." 

Cillian was silent for a while before he asked, "How do you know that?" I pulled up the sleeve of the shirt I was wearing and he looked at the mark on my wrist. He traced it with his hand before he stiffened up and grabbed my face, making me look him in the eye.

"You're a Crescent wolf?" I nodded and his eyes rolled back before he slumped down over me. He woke up after a few minutes and groaned. His head shot up and he looked at me curiously and went to ask a question.

"It was all real mate." I said lightly. He pulled me closer to his body and growled very lowly at me, his blue eyes sparking. 

"Say it again."

"Mate." I said seductively.

"I, Cillian Fury, accept you Ashlyn Blake as my mate and as my Luna, from this day forward." 

"I, Ashlyn Blake, accept you Cillian fury as my mate and as my Alpha, from this day forward." Cillian put his lips on mine and fireworks danced on our lips. After a little while I broke the kiss and stood, taking Cillian's hand. I led him to my den, a few miles away, he followed silently probably sensing my excitement. Alexa gagged when we walked in and I snarled at her, she whimpered and looked at the ground. Alpha Darius growled lowly, to which I rolled my eyes. 

"Playing the victim yet again." I said rudely. Alexa's parents growled at me and I raised a single eyebrow at them. "Sit down and shut up." I commanded, they obeyed. I followed Cillian to his chair and he pulled me down on his lap. Alexa's jaw dropped before she closed it in anger and jealousy. 

"What are your plans for departure Alpha Darius?" Cillian asked breaking the silence.

"We will leave in the morning, my little mate wants one more night with her parents." He responded neutrally.

"If your going to miss them so much take them with you." I said to Alexa. "It's not like they do anything other than kiss your ass all the time anyway." I watched Alpha Darius look at me in confusion. 

"I heard Alexa has a twin. I would like to meet them as well." Alpha Darius said.

"You already have, this is my mate and Alexa's twin Ashlyn." Cillian informed Alpha Darius who's jaw practically fell to the floor. 

"I don't understand." He said, the wheels turning in his head. 

"That makes two of us pal." I said leaning against Cillian. 

"So are you a white wolf too?"

"No she is a simple grey wolf." Alexa said snobbishly. I rolled my eyes at her and she smirked cruelly.

"She is ten times the wolf you could ever be Alexa." Cillian snarled from behind me. Her eyes went black and her wolf threw a tantrum.

"A simple grey wolf will never come close to the beauty, me a white wolf holds!" She screamed. My eyes changed as Crescent rose. 

"Sit down before you get yourself into a fight you will lose." Crescent said calmly. Alexa's wolf huffed and snarled. Crescent was on her pinning her to the wall by her throat, Alpha Darius got up and she threw Alexa into him before pinning them both beneath our foot. "I think you should pack your s**t and leave tonight. If you ever step foot in this pack again Fuzzball. I will kill your fugly behind." Crescent walked back to Cillian and sat down on his lap and gave me back control. 

Alexa and Darius stood. "Tell your beast she can't kill me, the twin bond wont allow her to." Alexa sneered.

"You mean the bond I demolished when were were fifteen?" I asked. Both of their faces went pale. "Would it be the bond that was so strong that you didn't even notice it was gone?" 

"How could you do that?" Alexa asked.

"Every time you looked at me I had to feel your hatred. I was done, so I drank a little wolfsbane cocktail and rid myself of you." Alexa swayed on her feet and nearly fell. 

"You are dismissed." Cillian said. I watched them all leave and curled into my mate. I cried for a minute when I realized things would never change back, I would never have my dad back. "Are you okay babe?"

"I miss my dad sometimes. He was my best friend until I was 15 and I miss being able to talk to him. I miss the twin I shared everything with, the one who I could never stay mad at. I miss my mom, and the way she used to hold me when I felt this terrible. I miss them Cillian, but they don't miss me."
