As expected, we both are now sitting on the chair awkwardly as we waited for Namjoon to arrive—to bail us out after what Jimin did. We could've gotten out easily but with Jimin trying and attempting to hide our identities had it worst. The police was not amused at all.
Groaned, my arms crossed over my chest as I grumbled. "So this is your idea of a date?"
Jimin looked at me in confusion as I glanced at him in disbelief. "A date in the jail?”
He pressed his lips into thin line as I continue scolding him. "Really, Park Jimin?"
He pouted, eyes glistening as if he was trying to be cute. "What? It's unique."
I rolled my eyes, huffing before taking a deep breath. Mumbling, trying not to let him hear. "Unique my ass."
"But admit it," He paused, facing me. "Bet you've never been on a date like this."
Jimin snorted, tilting his to the side, teasing—as if mocking me in a way I haven't dated anyone, and that insulted my soul.
"It's not like I date often." I muttered under my breath, lowering my gaze and avoiding his eye contact as I leaned back on the chair.
Surprisingly, he didn't hear that.
"You really love fun?" I bit my lips, trying to reply to his questions and talks as much as I can. My eyes flickered back to his presence.
"A crazy type of fun." He said with an annoying smug look written on his face.
Such then, a voice screamed from behind making both of us looked to see Namjoon hurrying down the station. He was wearing just a white shirt and a short with slippers on making Jimin chuckle.
"Namjoon hyung has been cautious when it comes to his clothes," We looked at each other, and he shrugged his shoulders. "Guess he really went here as fast as he can."
We laughed at each other before taking a glimpse at Namjoon who has his eyes all over the place.
"Where is Han Jihyo, and Park Jimin?!" He yelped, scanning the area before his eyes landed at us. He quickly marched towards us but was cut off by the police whom caught us.
Turned out, the police wasn't just any police who tracks people down but also a detective. He was out there catching criminals for fun.
"You must be Kim Namjoon, their guardian, am I right?" He asked. Namjoon nodded in confusion. "I am Detective Jung Hoseok."
"Nice to meet you." Namjoon said quickly before pushing Hoseok behind. "Now move away."
Hoseok looked dumbfounded as he stared at Namjoon who marched his way towards us.
"How the hell did you two end up in the police station?!" He asked us in a cold tone as Hoseok interrupted us.
"The two of them were caught speeding up and broke the country's law." Hoseok answered truthfully. "And also got into an accident. Gladly, no one was hurt."
"Seriously?" Namjoon huffed, glaring at us making us cower in embarrassment and shame. "With my car?"
Jimin glanced at me, waiting for me to say something but I shook my head. It isn't my fault that we're in this state! I mean who asked me on a date in the first place?!
He sighed in defeat before looking at Namjoon with a cheeky smiled. But Namjoon wasn't getting it.
"If it wasn't my car, I would've left the two of you spending your night at the jail!" He hissed, flailing his arms around—Hoseok trying to avoid not getting hit.
I watched him in amusement, and Namjoon seemed to noticed it as he forced out cough with an intense glare at me making me pout.
Namjoon shot us one last cold glare before sitting beside us, and looked at Hoseok. "Can I speak to them?"
Hoseok nodded reluctantly and made his way out, leaving us to have a conversation.
Namjoon sighed, closing his eyes tightly. I could even see his nose flares in anger but tried to control himself. "Tell me, why did the two of you got in an accident and caught by the police?"
I choked out my saliva—that sounded so wrong.
"Stop it!" Jimin hissed, whispering as he slightly yelled. "You made it sound like we're criminals!"
"You are criminals now!" Namjoon growled, never leaving Jimin's eyes making him lower down like a dog in guilt again.
"You tell me, Jihyo." Namjoon scoffed, looking at me now. "Explain."
I nodded, fiddling with my hands. "Well, this jerk here drove so fast. I tried to stop him but he's naughty!"
My eyes fixed with Namjoon. "Then a deer came out of nowhere and yelled 'Jimin, deer!'."
"And? Did you stop?" he glanced at Jimin who was cowering himself.
"No. He didn't. Instead, he replied, 'Yes, honey?', and that's the story of how we crashed, and how the policía seized us."
My eyebrows furrowed, taking a glimpse at Jimin who has his cheeks tainted with deep red—wait. Is he blushing?
"That was the dumbest thing I've ever heard." Namjoon inhaled, rolling his eyes as he rubbed his temples. Jimin leaned forward, grabbing his arms.
"Hyung..." he trailed off, whining and swaying Namjoon's arms slightly. "I won't do it again. I promise."
"Fine." Namjoon grumbled, shaking his head. "But if this happens again, I swear I won't bail you out anymore."
Jimin pulled away from him, and smiled as he cheered. The sight of him made me laugh. Namjoon stood up, probably going to talk to Hoseok about getting us out.
Silence once again took over us.
"Well, that was a fun date." Jimin chuckled awkwardly as he scratched his head, and leaned on the chair, parting his legs.
"It was." I smiled. answering truthfully.
It would be a lie if I say the date was the worst. It was actually the scary type date yet amazing. Generally, the most unique date I ever had—just like what Jimin said.
Eventually, late at night, we got bailed out. They immediately dropped me home using the car with Namjoon driving the car this time. I went home, showered and jumped on the bed, sighing as I smiled—memories replaying in my mind.
That was honestly a different type of date. A date that I never expected to happen. Where could you experience a date where you got unexpectedly went to jail on your way to the beach to have an actual date?
And to top it all, my heart even more swelled, at the thought of Jimin's confession this afternoon. His words—I couldn't even explain the words he gave me nor could explain the feelings he was giving me recently.
A soft ting was heard throughout the room, stopping me from my thoughts before abruptly jumping out of my bed and grabbed my phone.
An update.
