As Darian fell into a deep slumber, he found himself in a dream. In this dream, he was standing in a room that he immediately recognised as his childhood home. The air was still and silent, and the only sound was the gentle creaking of the old wooden floorboards beneath his feet. Looking around, he saw that the room was empty, save for himself and a figure standing in the corner. As he moved closer, he recognised the figure as his mother, her features serene and almost otherworldly. She was gazing at him with an intensity that made him feel both comforted and unsettled. It was then that he realised that she was trying to tell him something, but her words were barely audible, as if muffled by an invisible barrier.
