The system warned us about the impact a few minutes before the pod was about to hit the earth's atmosphere. We hurriedly put on our seat belts.
Earth was as beautiful as I had left it.
It's blue graduated into the myriad lakes, oceans and seas but the greens were on the verge of dwindling.
I leaned a little over Darian to catch a better glimpse.
" Hazal! You need to buckle up! "
Too late. I could not get back to my seat before the pad penetrated the ozone layer.

I was right over Darians's lap. He was smirking at Tara and Vape as they too extended their hands in an attempt to catch me.
Just then the system notification started ringing. It ringed with alarm.
I moved swiftly back to my seat as Darian took the call.
