Chapter 19 Save Me

-Angel's view-

After getting the information I needed I made my way to an abandoned building out in the middle of nowhere. I knew this place too well. It was where they took the kids when we were training.

They broke us down mentally and physically, torturing us until we were nothing but clay for them to mold. I could feel in my guys that's what they were already trying to do to her now that she's in their hands.

My body became cold and my mind clouded. I landed on the side close to a door, I haven't been here in years so hopefully I can remember the layout. I looked over and of course armed guards were standing there, in front of the door.

I gritted my teeth and sent out feathers covering their mouths and pinning them against the wall. I quickly made my way over and grabbed an Id card from one of them to open the door. Once I was inside the white halls seemed endless. I wasn't sure which way to go, just when I was about to send out feathers I heard Fae screaming in pain.

My body heated up and all I could see was red. You fuckers are gonna pay for this!!!!

-Fae's view-

"Again."

I felt the shock wave throw my body, wishing that my body would just go numb. Once they stopped I couldn't stop myself from vomiting. I ended up choking on vomit and saliva. I could barely keep my eyes open.

"Angelo... Please... Help me." I softly cried out.

"Well looks like we have a guest my dear Yukino, a handsome bird boy has tried to come save you." The speaker over head announced.

My head shot up, my eyes widened, tears rolled down my sweaty face. I swallowed thickly.

"Angelo I'M IN HERE! HELP MEEEEEE!" I screamed as loud as I could.

"Well I guess since he's here let's give him a show."

My body froze, my heart stopped. I darted my eyes around and the masked men kept their grounds.

" Strip her."

One of them pulled out a knife and cut my dress right off, the sound of ripping fabric bounced in the room. I felt naked and exposed.

I clenched my eyes shut not knowing what was coming next. My body shivered from fear, I was scared.

"Again."

Again I heard the zapping of the teasers and then hitting the metal. I let out a scream, as my body spazzed from all the currents running through it. Once they were done my body went limp, my sight was turning black.

"Well I guess it's time to take care of our guest, he's getting too close to our little butterfly. You men can leave and bring down the bird. I got some other stuff to deal with."

I heard the men leave out the door and I couldn't even lift a finger any more. My chest hurt and I could barely breathe. But I needed to keep myself awake.

My.... lovee... My... Lo-love.. my fearlessness.... lovee

I wi-will not say go-good bye

Sea.... May rise.. sky may fall

I kept trying to keep singing but everything was fading and turning cold. "Kei" sleep dragged me into the dark.

-Angel's view-

I heard her scream one more time before there was a dead silence. I kept making my feet run to the last direction that I heard her coming from.

Heavily armed men came running out of the hall and stood in front of me. "Get out of my f*****g way!" I growled. I pulled one of the long feathers out and without thinking I jumped up and started swinging it trying to clear  them out of the way.

Dodging bullets wasn't easy but I managed. Once everyone was down I didn't know where to go, sending my feathers out I could hear the song she sang when we first met.

I was running as fast as I could to her. Finally I found a door which sounded like she was right on the other side. I slammed the door open and there she was.

Through a window I could see her dangling from the metal wheel, almost like a Catherine's wheel. I beat on the glass, her naked body was cut and bruised.

"Kid! Hey Kid!!!" I shouted. She didn't respond. I darted in my eyes until I saw a door that led to her room.

Quickly, running through the door and going up to her. Her eyes were empty, drooling and tears stained down her face.

"Don't worry baby bird I'll get you out of here." I shot out my feathers trying to get them to pick lock the cuffs. I couldn't cut through them because they were the quirk cancelling cuffs.

I heard a pop as the cuffs popped open. Her body dropped and I grabbed her as gently as I could. I held her close, her eyes still in the back of her head but she was still breathing.

Something in the back of my mind was telling me we have done this before. But I don't remember when we ever did this.

"Ha-Angelo?" I heard her mumble.

"Hey baby bird." I whispered back.

"I'm sorry." Slowly her eyes fluttered closed.

"Kid, stay with me! You can do this! Kid! KID!"

I hugged her tightly, cradling her body and lifting her up bridal style. I had to figure out how to get out of here. I started running back from where I came from. Luckily there were no obstacles along the way. I got her out and went straight to a hospital.

"Doctor! I need a Doctor!" Quickly nurses ran up to me and took her from me. As they were running around and laying her on a bed one nurse was trying to push me into a waiting room to get information.

I didn't even know what to say other than, "I found her like this." I know I couldn't say oh the government did this to her and I just rescued her. I bit the inside of my cheek and she handed me some paperwork.

"We will keep you updated on her but please stay here until she is in a room." The nurse said before walking off to Fae's room.

I just sat there in a plastic chair holding onto a clipboard, and the pen. I felt like this was all my fault. I shouldn't have told her. I shouldn't have let her stay with Natsuo. I should have tried to talk to her before she ran away. I should have tried to....I was mentally breaking myself down. 

"Fae Yukino." I whispered her name and closed my eyes. I leaned back into the chair with my head against the wall. And I was praying to any gods that I knew of. Praying that she would be alright.

Kei-kun! Don't worry I'll be back!

I startle myself awake. This time I saw the little girl's face. She had her eyes closed smiling at me. I cupped my face and started trying to replay what my mind was trying to tell me.

Don't be a sad angel! Do you wanna be my friend?

My name is.....

"Sir Angelo? Yukino Fae is finally in a room, and she is stable. You can finally see her. But right now she is sleeping. Whatever happened made her mind shattered. So she might have some PTSD later on but we will see what happens when she wakes up." A man in a white coat said.

I nodded my head and jumped up and he showed me to her room. I stepped inside and saw her frail body. IVs, and wires all over her, the only sound was her breathing and the heart monitor. I slowly walked up to her and sat in the chair.

I gently stroked her cheek. God Fae you literally just got out of here and now we are right back in. I was trying to make myself feel better joking. I let out a sad sigh and kept stroking her cheek and then her forehead.

"Kei." She mouthed. My brows narrowed. I never told her my name, how does she know it? I couldn't think of how she would even know it. But I'll have to ask when she wakes up. I leaned over her bed and laid my head on a pillow beside her still sitting in the chair.

This time I'm not letting you go.
