Chapter 5I was stiff the next morning, but content. I could move slowly and sat up on the edge of the bed to get used to being upright.
“Your turn,” Yuriko said as she came out of the bathroom in a beautiful red, silk robe, a towel wrapped around her head. “I sent Daisuke down to your room to get you clean clothes. I hope he got the right ones.”
I looked at the pile on the foot of the bed. “Yes, those are perfect,” I said. They were also the only other clothes I had brought with me.
“How are you feeling this morning?” she asked.
“I’m a little stiff but I’ve never felt this well. Thank you for last night.”
“My pleasure, Micheleen. We’ll talk about it after lunch. Now go and shower. It’s twelve-fifteen already.”
“I’ll be ready in ten minutes.”
