The Day

508 Words
That day I just left without saying a single word. Walking aimlessly through the cold white covered town. All I remember is what is going through my head. The flashbacks of our laughter, our memories, our smiles, just everything. I finally raised my heavy throbbing head up to look where I was going. I didn't even know where I was at. I look down at my hands red swollen hands, then I look at my feet. There is an opening in the sidewalk. I rub my eyes and open them again.      "What the f**k?!" That is all I can scream when it swallows me whole. I go through into nothing.      I open my eyes and look at my surroundings. Glorious luscious forest. Colorful scenery. This isn't home. I sit up yet fall down due to my head feeling as though I am on a roller coaster zipping. I gather myself and slowly stand up wincing in pain. My ankle was definitely sprained. It was swollen and bruised. My once light blue jeans now soiled in dirt and blood. I'm bleeding but where?     I scan myself and I see a deep cut on my upper thigh. I gag at the sight of it, the puss and chunks of flesh hanging. I threw up to the side to me. My head starts spinning. I try and get up but fall down because of the pain and wrap my jacket around my thigh. I start to hear rustling around me. I freeze. There was no point in trying to hide. I had already been in plain sight. More movement behind me.      I hear a grunt. I try and turn but stop in my tracks when I see a shadow cast over me. The person is there. I am scared, and I immediately try and hit the person behind me. The person grabs my wrist and holds them.      "Don't f*****g move." The man stated. I gulp.      "Who the hell are you?!" I say with anger in my voice.     "How did you get here?" The guy avoids my question.     "I...um...I can't remember." I try to remember my name but I get this intense pain in my head.      "Well that is helpful. I am Zach. You will remember when you have been here long enough. I fell through a hole in a sidewalk. That is all I am going to say." He says fast.     "I remember falling through a hole in the sidewalk." I say with joy in my voice.     He lets go of my wrist and I turn to him. I tilt my head looking at him. In my head I state, "Why does he look so familiar?"     "Why do you look familiar to me?" I question.     "I...I don't know." He says but I can tell he is lying but I won't push.      "I am not feeling well." I state as my vision starts to fade in and out. I slowly start to go down and then I can see that he is trying to catch me before my vision goes pitch black.
