"Bre wake up. mom and dad have your breakfast ready and we need to get a move on to start planning" abby yelled from outside my bedroom. " Alright give me a minute." i yelled back. Not wanting to get up even thou today should be an exiciting day, but in ny mind it wasnt. Today is my 18th birthday but is also 12 years after my birth parents have died on the same day while we celebrated. Somehow that night still lives in my mind. one second everything was fine the next second everything went dark and i could hear my parents screaming. I couldnt find them and i felt like i couldnt move. once everything went back to normal they were laying on the floor lifeless. Since then i was adopt. i like it here, my parents are rich and are normally gone alot. they never had kids of their own but always adopted kids. we pretty much did what ever we wanted. as i get ready i think about all the planning thats going to be going on. we were always told we were special, but never told more then that. today i would be getting a sepcial visit from someone no one knew, and since im the oldest i dont know what to expect. before i leave my room i take one last look at my bedroom wishing i could just be apart of all the books i read. "good morning our dark abyss" my father said. "good morning. thank you for the breaksfast." i said. but before anything could go any further i was thrown into darkness again. " no no no this cant be happening" i said " calm down my child today is the day you find out who you really are." said an unfamiliar voice. "what... what do you mean. please dont hurt me" i said shakily. " Now why would i hurt my own child. Bre your life isnt what you expect. do you know those books you read about gods and demi gods?" "yes but that stuff isnt real. well at least not anymore." i said irritated. "no my child it is very much real and you are the daughter of hades. on your birthday years ago when your parents passed that was when you started to come into your powers. we had to bind them till your 18th birthday so no onr would try to harm you. your adopted parents know who you and all your siblings are. they are protectors of demi gods, but had to keep it from you." the voice said before i could say anything i was standing back in the kitchen panicking.
