Sweet Starry Shadows Chapter 3: What to do? Sitting within her dimmed room where all her spirits in the Celestial Realm were awfully worried for her wellbeing; They all watched the blonde’s actions from above as she sat there with her bangs shadowing over her eyes. It's been a while since she had moved from her spot. Just looking down to her entwined hands, she was in a daze. All that she could process in her mind were that her friends were much more willing to listen to Lisanna’s lies since maybe, they've known her for longer than she had been there for the guild and trust her more than herself.  Sighing, she shifted where her spirits all grew restless. Even though they weren't there in the room, Lucy could feel their worried emotions swarming throughout the air around her. They were worried, and she couldn’t help but apologise in her mind for making them go through such a wild day. When she was in danger, all she could do was watch as they stood defensively in front of her. She knew that they wanted to fight for her right to speak, but they knew that if they fought then they'd get tired and worn out quick since they were out of their gates using their own magic. If she used her magic then obviously, she'll get tired rather than them since she could only summon two at a time. "I don't know what I should do at this point..." she whispered as she wiped away her tears which were threatening to stain her porcelain cheeks.  Resting her forehead against her knuckles, she forced herself to think of a way to escape from all of this. Her head forcing herself to think of a plan, Loke's key began to glow. "How about going on vacation?" he suggested where she bit the bottom of her lip in thought. If she went on vacation, wouldn't they think of her running away?  Not liking the idea, she shook her head where his key continued to glow. "I can ask Sakura to help you plan it out if you'd like? She's our only ally other than the old man from the guild," he spoke. She thought about it for a while as she thought back to Sakura boldly standing up for her and speaking up for her sake. The girl was definitely a nice person, considering how she was helping her as if they've been friends since long ago, the truth was they only knew each other by name and nothing else. If she asked Sakura for help, then wouldn't the girl think of her as weak since she's calling for help and not solving the issue by herself? "Sakura might think differently of us if we ask for her help," Lucy whispered as she looked down to her waist to rest her attention onto the pouch that was seemingly glowing from Loke's key. Closing her eyes, she could feel the lion spirit’s presence standing in front of her. She could sense him right there in front of her with his arms crossed, a frown evident on his face. "She would never think like that. She was like a big sister to all the little ones... If you'd like, I can ask for her to lie for us?" he reasoned where she sighed again and sat up. "Are you sure about this Loke? We could always ignore what the guild has to say and continue on like normal." Hearing him sigh, she shook her head and opened her eyes to look around her dark apartment. She knew that he wanted her to be happy and joyous of her life, but she really couldn't part with her apartment since this was where she started her hectic life with Fairy Tail. Running her fingers through her long blonde hair, her heart began to beat faster. "We don't want you to hurt yourself even more Lucy... Imagine yourself sitting there, always watching the two of them flirt and be all romantic in front of you without any care. Not only that but with Lisanna spreading all of these lies, it's not going to get any better," Loke stated. The blonde covered her ears and ducked her head. Shaking it, she knew what Loke was trying to say. With a long sigh, she soon found herself nodding her head to agree with Loke's recent suggestion on asking Sakura for her help. "Alright... I'll go on vacation, but I'll need her when we go over to the guild to talk to Master about it." She could sense her friends nodding their heads with relieving smiles on their faces. Feeling somewhat proud of herself for at least finding a way to make herself feel better, she heard Virgo's voice saying that she'll go along with her brother, or Loke, to ask for Sakura's assistance. Her lips curling as she waited for them to return, she stood up and pulled out two of her Celestial Keys. Calling out Aries who shyly greeted her, she smiled down to Plue that gave out a shaking hand up as a gesture of hello. "Alright, while we wait for the results, let's pack up the apartment and get ready to move out and start a new life somewhere else," she cheered where the two of them looked at her in confusion. "Uhm... What do you mean to start a new life?" Aries questioned where the blonde smiled at her spirit. Lucy reaching under her bed where she pulled out some unfolded boxes, she began to fold them with a sad smile on her face. "I don't think the lies will ever be forgotten. I mean, they really weren't even listening to me or was giving me a chance to defend myself. I think using a vacation as a lie would be a great way to go on hiatus from the guild for a long time…” she began. “Let's say that so they'll think that I'm actually on vacation when really, I'm going to train and learn some new things," she explained where Aries gave a perfect "O" with her mouth. Plue shaking, he seemingly nodded his head. Although he couldn't speak like any other spirits, she listened to him and tried to understand what he was saying. "He said that it'll be a great chance to forget all of the bad things and make some happier memories," Aries translated where Lucy smiled at him. If all her spirits agreed to her decision, then she'll happily carry it out without any regrets lingering in her heart. Handing an empty box over to Aries who began to walk over to her study desk, Lucy pulled out her suitcase and began to walk over to her closet. While they began to pack up, Loke and Virgo appeared beside her with a smile. "We got an okay from her," Loke cheered. Everyone all smiled within the room where Lucy turned to look at the male. "Then, when do we go to the guild to talk to him?" she questioned. Loke grinned to his princess. "Since it's evening, Sakura said that she can't delay her stay here till tomorrow. She told us to come any time before ten tonight, so it's up to you princess," he replied where she nodded her head. "Has the guild settled down?" Aries questioned before apologising for speaking up. The boy looking over to her, he nodded his head. "Master came and told them to all shut up and go back into the guild. Sakura was talking to Levy when we came to ask her," he then stated. Looking around her apartment, Lucy could start to imagine her apartment being empty and bare. Shaking her head as she began to walk over towards her door, she could feel Loke and Virgo following her from behind. "You guys don't have to come along," she said with a sigh. "What happens if they gang up on you and start throwing questions?" Loke questioned dramatically as he jokingly held onto her shoulders and shook her gently.  Her lips curling up into a smile, she shook her head. "What are we? Cliché schoolgirls?" she asked where Loke gasped and took a step back with a hand over his heart. "Lucy, I never knew that you're interested in cosplaying as schoolgirls! If you preferred that, I could’ve dressed up as one for you," he joked before giving out a chuckle. "No... We just don't want you to get hurt or interrogated while we're not by your side. Besides, Sakura's wolves would be much scarier if they escorted you," he added but this time more serious. “They carry much more danger than we do.” She opened the door and tipped her head to the side as she stepped aside to her spirits through. "What do you mean?" Virgo placed her hand under her chin and thought about it with her blank face. "Well, I don't really know much about magic all over the world -" she began. "- Sakura can't really summon but she's contracted to two wolves that can shift. Werewolves, I guess," Loke finished off where Lucy nodded her head. "Well... If they're wolves, then don’t worry about having to escort me. Come on guys, let's go tell Master that we're going on vacation," she cheered before closing the door where she closed Aries's gate. Walking out of her apartment, she knew all too well that some of her spirits would come out of their gates and help with the packing of her room. As she took in a deep breath, she began to walk over to the guild where Sakura waited for her arrival. “I just hope that everything will turn out well,” she whispered to herself. With roughly ten to fifteen minutes of walking, they soon began to approach the guild's walkway to the building. Loke telling her that he'd be back soon with Sakura, the blonde nodded and waited for the boy's return. She knew that the Dragon Slayers could faintly smell her scent from inside of the building. Feeling her nerves jolt and cause havoc in her mind, she stood still with Virgo and patiently waited. "Here they come, hime," Virgo whispered. The blonde talking in a deep breath, she watched the guild doors open with Sakura and Loke walking out. Walking up to meet the two of them, she smiled to Sakura who returned a comforting one in return. "Thank you so much for helping me..." she thanked. Sakura chuckled and nodded her head. "Anything for a family member," she replied before taking a step aside. Lucy smiling, she walked beside the crimson where within each step, her smile began to drop. Her mind was sending out warnings. Her legs were getting weak. Standing right in front of the wooden doors, she took in a deep breath as she forced her arms to rise. "I'll be there with you. Don't worry, just keep your head up and walk and leave it to me to stop anything aggressive. Lucy, you have us standing there with you all the way," Sakura whispered, trying to calm down the girl whose heartbeat was beating faster in anxiety. Her eyes glancing over to the girl, she gave out a long sigh before resting her palm against the door. Telling herself that everything's going to be alright, she pushed the door open where the chattering from Fairy Tail all halted to a stop. With everyone's eyes on her, she raised her head like what Sakura had said and began to make her way upstairs where the old man worked in his office. Ignoring the whispers as she heard Sakura's low growl abruptly stop them, she walked up to only freeze to Lisanna's voice. "I bet you all that she's going to admit what she had done to me to Master," she called out where Sakura's deep growl began to grow louder. “I’d close those lips and not talk right now, if I were you,” Sakura threatened. Loke glancing down to Lisanna smirking up to them, he clicked his tongue as he glared over to Natsu in disgust. The both were hugging, Natsu being in between Lisanna's legs as she sat at the bar where his princess had claimed the seat as hers. Feeling the slight tug on his suit from Virgo, he sighed and began to walk after Lucy. "Who would've ever thought that she'll be the lying type of girl to get what she desires," he muttered under his breath where Sakura sniffled a giggle.  "What do you expect?" she replied in a hushed tone before they all found themselves standing in front of Makarov's office. Sakura opening the door without even knocking, Lucy found herself standing in front of a very agitated old man that was staring right into her eyes. "Lucy, my child... What brings you here when everyone's on the edge of their seats?" he gruffed. The blonde walking in, she fiddled with her fingers before telling him the reason to why she's now standing before him. "Master, I don't want to leave the guild because of this. Fairy Tail's my family and I would hate to leave you all behind over something I haven't done," she began. "I know that you didn't do it, my child," he stated where Lucy and her spirits all widened their eyes. Sakura smiling, she walked over to his side and stood roughly behind him to the right. Without further silence, he continued. "As much as Erza and Mirajane are two of the people who organise and partially run the guild alongside with me, Sakura has been the one to keep the guild in place. Don't tell them but she's the one I'd trust without any worries," he said. The spirits looking at Lucy with smiles, they watched Lucy's shoulders relax. "Then can I go on vacation till this settles down?" she asked where Makarov nodded his shoulders. "Absolutely. While you're away, I'll resolve the issue here. If something happens then Sakura would be called in to help me. Don't you worry my child, you have the first, Sakura and I supporting you." At that point, her worries had been lifted from her mind. Smiling, she beamed over to the two standing in front of her. "Thank you... Thank you!" she cried out. Sakura chuckling, she nodded her head. "You may know little about me, but I know almost everything about you, Lucy. Just have fun while we handle the rest," she said, watching Loke and Virgo return back to the Celestial World so they could get some privacy. The two higher-ups watching Lucy trying not to dance around and celebrate, Makarov looked over his shoulder to watch Sakura smiling. "You really adore her, don't you?" he whispered. Looking down, Sakura grinned. "Ever since I saw her years ago, I knew that she'll be the best sister figure in my life," she replied where Makarov looked back over to the blonde where he muttered something about having a secret sister complex.
