Foreign Arms Comforting

Sweet Starry Shadows Chapter 2: Foreign Arms Comforting Lucy ended up being in her spirits' arms for over half an hour, which surprisingly, none from the guild had happened to walk out and leave the building to go and check on her. Thanking her friends as they walked away from the guild and into town, they all found themselves laughing as they all enjoyed some ice-cream bought by the blonde and the lion spirit. They were all sitting by the fountain where they ate and chattered to each other with smiles on their faces. It was thanks to these people that she was contracted to and while they told each other stories, she found herself slowly forgetting what had happened earlier until a crimson-haired girl approached her. "Hello, I'm looking for Fairy Tail's guild building. Do you mind showing me the way?" the girl questioned where Lucy froze in her spot. Virgo pulling out Lucy's paper cup that was once filled with strawberry and vanilla scoops of ice-cream from her hand, the spirits all watched their master trying to recollect her thoughts. They all noticed the deep red insignia mark which told them that she was a friend, but they didn't know who she was, other than Loke who remained silent. The blonde faking a smile, she shook her head. "I'm sorry, but I'm quite busy with my friends. How about I tell you where to head off to?" she replied where the crimson tipped her head to the side in confusion.  "I'm very sorry to interrupt your outing with your spirits. I'll just follow their scents if I can recall them somehow by wandering around for a little bit, but I thank you anyway," the girl apologised before walking pass Loke where she stopped and raised a brow to the boy. "You grew your hair out?" she questioned to him before walking away from where Loke gave a confused look over to the crimson's direction. Shaking his head, he looked over to Lucy. "Did you know her?" Lucy asked. He shrugged and finished off his mint chocolate-chip ice-cream. "She's been a member of the guild as long as Erza has. She went on a job specifically given by the Master and the Magic Council, and she apparently really adored Celestial magic when she was younger. Her name is Sakura Miyasaki, a Water Dragon Slayer but she's an elemental - Just weak on the other elements," he stated where she nodded to his answer. She couldn't help but feel slightly mean to the girl that happened to be in the guild for much longer than she had. There was a reason for her to reject her request though, and that was because she didn't want to go back to that place where everyone would look at her as "The girl that got rejected by the fire idiot." Sighing as she shook her head, she remembered his blunt rejection and could feel tears threatening to fall. Before she could even let them have a chance to fall though, the crimson from before appeared right in front of them with a frown on her face. "I knew that something was up when Loke didn't try to flirt with me," she whispered as she squatted down in front of the blonde. Taking offence to what the crimson had said, Loke looked at her in disbelief. "Who would even try when someone’s willing to shoot arrows made of ice at them without any hesitation?" Loke retorted as he looked away from where Sakura clicked her tongue. "Figures, Takuto would try to kill you," she deadpanned before ignoring Loke's reply to try to look at Lucy's face. The blonde covering her face as the tears fell, she felt a hand on the knee and slowly looked up to meet eyes with Sakura's eyes. "Shouldn't you be heading to the guild?" she whispered. Watching the crimson sadly smile, she shook her head. "I couldn't leave a family member behind who's sad and in tears," she replied. "Need a shoulder to lean on?" Lucy shook her head and slowly got up to her feet where the girl in front of her rose as well. Forcing herself to smile, she walked around Sakura and rubbed her right arm with the left hand. "No... I'm fine. I can deal with issue mysel-" She was suddenly pulled into a hug where she widened her eyes. This Sakura girl was giving her a hug and for some reason. Her warmth and willingness to hear her out made her eyes water up even more. Crying on her shoulder since she was slightly shorter than her, she could sense her spirits' relief of her getting rid of the rest of her tears. "No one can handle emotional things by themselves. Let it all out - Your spirits are covering us from the others..." Sakura whispered where she listened to Lucy's heart-retched sobs and felt her body quiver and shake as she forced the tears out. Although Lucy wasn't crying as much as she was with her spirits, she knew that the girl that she was hugging wouldn't spread what was currently going on with the others. Trusting the girl, she sniffled before pulling back to wipe away her tear stains. "Thank you for dealing with my crying," she thanked before taking a step away to give out a hand. Watching Sakura look at her hand curiously, she smiled. "My name is Lucy. I'm in Team Natsu over at the guild," she introduced where the crimson smiled and accepted her hand which went into a handshake. "I'm Sakura Miyasaki. I belong to no team since I travel a lot for Master's errands - I'm here for a short visit before heading off again to meet up with my boyfriend," Sakura replied before feeling Lucy's muscles tense once she said the word, boyfriend. For Lucy's sake, she ignored it and pulled her hand away. "I have to head off to the guild to meet up with Master. Do you want to come along?" she questioned. The blonde shook her head where Loke came into the circle. "I'll take you to the guild since you're so old and forgot everyone's scents. Lucy, how about you go and rest back at your apartment?" he said where she nodded her head and thanked everyone as they began to walk with her as a large group. Loke sighing, he began to lead the crimson over to the guild with his hand balled up into tight fists. Sakura glancing down to his fists before over her shoulder to watch Lucy and her spirits walk away, she noted her observations before locking them up in her mind. With Loke leading the way, the spirits all celebrated in their minds for preventing their master to go back to that place. Even though they knew that she would be dealing with her heartbreak and watching the new couple flirt and prance about with hearts flying everywhere within hours’ time, at least she would have some time beforehand to prepare. While their minds were thinking of ways to torture the newly formed couple, Lucy's voice snapped them out of it. Aquarius snapping her finger as she gritted her teeth, everyone looked at her with a questioning glance. "What? I was up to turning on the saws with him tied in the pool," she said where Lucy shook her head at Aquarius's sadistic ways. Continuing what she was saying, her request seemed to fulfil their thirst of witnessing Natsu being in pain. "Can we ask Loke to ask Sakura to stay until tomorrow night? Maybe they might go into a fight if Natsu thinks of her as a rival as he does with Gray?" she suggested where suddenly Loke appeared. "Actually, they're about to fight now," he pointed out where everyone's eyes widened. All of them looking at each other as they stopped walking, they all turned on their heels and began to run over to the building where Natsu came flying through the doors and onto the path. Lucy panting tiredly as Sakura came walking out with red eyes, she watched the girl show her canine teeth down to the boy with a hiss following. "When did you become this pathetic, Natsu?" she sneered before taking a few steps back as roots emerged through the path, picking him up and holding him into the air. "I heard so many things, good things, that our guild has done, and what disappoints me is when I return after so long... I see that your girlfriend is saying all of these things about your nakama that sounds completely like utter lies since I just met one of the cutest big sisters while looking for the guild!" she boomed where the guild all looked at Lucy whose face was beyond shocked at what she was hearing. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu bellowed, burning away the roots where Sakura jumped high into the air to avoid the flames. Her head thrown back; she took in a deep inhale. "Water Dragon's Roar!" she boomed, landing to the ground where she blocked a kick to the face by crossing her arms over her face and neck. Kicking the back of the knees where he toppled over, Sakura flipped them around where she pinned him down and added pressure on his back. "Lucy apparently slapped her? I'm sorry but Lucy did not seem to be that type of person!" she snarled before away from him. "Fairy Tail is all about family and friends! I was taught and raised like that by you people!" she yelled before water engulfed his body. "You taught me Natsu! You taught me to listen to others!" she continued where Lisanna screamed out to her. "Stop, he's already knocked out!" she cried out. Lucy gasping when she watched Sakura widen her eyes as her red eyes faded back into its purple, she watched the girl drop his body where she tangled her fingers into her crimson hair. "Oh my..." she whispered as they all watched Lisanna run over to Natsu and dropped onto her knees. "Natsu... Natsu!" Lisanna sobbed where Natsu didn't reply since he was unconscious. The girl biting her bottom lip worriedly, she noticed Lucy standing there at the corner of her and angrily snapped her head over to her direction. "You…” she seethed. “How could you?!" she screamed where Sakura protectively walked in between the two. Lisanna looking down to her boyfriend, she tried to snap him out of his unconscious daze by shaking his body. She quickly looked up to Lucy again and glared at her. If looks could kill you and roll you flat like a road roller, then hers would be categorized under them. "How could you tell her to hurt him?! Were you that jealous to not to give up on him, that you had to call for backup?!" she said, accusing the blonde of Sakura's appearance. Lucy opened her mouth to speak, she whimpered when there weren't any words forming. Oh, just why did she run back here? Her spirits sensing their master's distress, they all stood in a line and blocked Lisanna's view from her. With Sakura in between, she gave out a throaty growl which surprised the girl on her knees. "You are one little -" "That's right!" Lucy interrupted, somewhat feeling the courage to speak for herself. If what Sakura had said was true about Lisanna spreading lies about her, then she should get rid of it so everyone could be happy. "Of course, I'm jealous! But I wouldn't sink that low to call for someone to hurt him!" she retorted where Lisanna angrily stood up and turned her head to the others behind her. "See?! I told you that she wasn't like what you've been believing ever since you've met her!" Lisanna cried out while pointing to the blonde in accusation. Turning her head back to Lucy, she pointed at her. "She's been threatening me to keep quiet about it! Look!" she yelled, lifting up her shirt slightly where a dark-purple bruise could be easily seen under the light. "She told me to keep quiet and if I spoke about it or even tried calling for help, she'd give me an even bigger bruise than the one she gave me before!" she lied where everyone looked at the blonde with anger and disbelief. Sakura standing there, still believing that Lucy wasn't someone that cruel, she snarled at Erza who took a step forward. "Don't you dare conflict any damage to this girl. I know that you wouldn't do something stupid," she warned where the scarlet stood her ground. "Sakura... Lucy caused Lisanna pain and grief. I can't let this slide as an S-Class," she reasoned where Lucy took a step back. "You know that I would never hurt a friend!" she yelled where Lisanna screamed. "She's a liar! She told me that she didn't even want to see me as a friend!" Lisanna yelled where Erza looked at Lucy as if she was crazy. Lucy shook her head. She ignored the throbbing pain that she was creating for herself by shaking her head that hard and looked back to Erza with pleading eyes. "What happened about us being like sisters?" she asked in a whisper. She hated the fact that everyone was siding with Lisanna without even hearing her side of the story. That was unfair since none of her reasons or arguments wasn't actually being considered by anyone standing right in front of her - Well, other than the crimson that hardly knew her since they just met a few minutes ago. Running her fingers through her hair as she desperately tried to think of a way to make everyone listen, she happened to not hear what someone had said where her spirits all went into a defensive position. Snapping out of her thoughts just as the ground began to shake, she saw Sakura holding up a large orb of water where Erza was in her Sea Empress Armour. "Erza... We must listen to Lucy's story." Erza looking at her, she gritted her teeth as if she was having a war against her mind and heart. Pointing her sword towards Sakura, the blonde flinched. "There's enough already said Sakura. Even though Lucy's a part of our guild, hurting a nakama isn't something we do," she replied. "Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!' Natsu's voice rang where all heads snapped over the pinkette that sent a large fireball over to Sakura. The crimson growling and gritting her teeth, she spun the large orb towards the fireball. "Water Dragon's Brilliant Aqua!" she cried out, throwing the ball where it evaporated from the heat. Sakura turning her head to the blonde, she used the mist as an advantage. "Lucy, how about you go for now?" she suggested, sensing panic from within the girl that she happened to protect from harm's way. Lucy swallowing down her pride, she felt Virgo tugging on her clothes. Balling her fists, she nodded and forced her body to break out into a run.
