Death becomes him - 7

545 Words
Being home has definitely flooded my senses, It's not like I had a great group of friends here prior to leaving, but someone to talk to would be nice. I walked down to the training grounds and take out some frustration on a punching bag. I walked over to the fighting circle, even though I know there will be no remnants of Henry McNamara, I can still see his lifeless body laying there. Our fight had only lasted seven minutes, the longest seven minutes of my life. "Ready to die, b***h?" I can still hear the hurt and anger in his words. "Not particularly" I replied. I knew I could kill Henry, I also knew with the Elders there I couldn't shift, this fight was going to be tricky, but since I had already killed his slut of a sister, I knew killing another person would not bother me, especially when this one wanted me dead. Once my parents, uncles and the Elders were outside and in thier places, pack members filed in. The taller of the Elders reminded us of the rules to the fight and then it began. Henry was fuelled by anger and that was going to give me an advantage. He charged me with my back turned like a coward, I turned in time to slip out of his grasp and he tripped due to his own momentum. He recovered quickly and charged again, He didn't cover his head and I snuck in a two punch combo to his cheek and nose. He swung again, and thats when I noticed the small silver dagger. I heard Uncle Gerald yelling, clearly I wasn't the only one who noticed. Henry ran at me again, lifting his arm to bring the dagger down into me. I was to quick and broke his arm before the dagger was any where near me. Then I heard a deafening growl and watched the bastard shift, I could hear my dad over everyone, yelling about a grown man shifting to fight a little girl. Henry leaped, landing on me and I was on my back. I just needed an opening, but I knew If I shifted there would be more issues. Then my chance, Henry threw his head back, howled in victory before killing me, leaving his chest exposed, big mistake, I lifted my hand extending my claws and shoved my hand into his chest, ripping out his heart and tossing it to the feet of the Elders while retracting my claws before they could notice. Henry laid dead, Ieaving me covered in his blood and that image would be what some pack members would use to tell stories about me for years. My father helped me up, and told me how proud he was of me. I nodded at the Elders and felt the smaller ones eyes linger a tad to long for my liking, I made my way back to my room, took a long shower and fell into bed for a well earned nights sleep. Even now being at the site, reliving the ordeal I feel like I'm exhausted and need a nap. Tomorrow this place will be crawling with wolves from all over the world, and I can imagine I'll need all my strength.
