The morning light yet again betrayed me, lighting up my room and forcing me to open my eyes and get the day started. 'Jenn, it's time to get up, we have a party to create' I heard my sister yelling through the door.
'Agghh, I'm sure you and mom can handle it, I have to train, Thanks!' I yell back, she knows damn well I don't plan parties and damn sure don't decorate. I may be a future Luna, but I can hire people to do those things, I'd much rather watch paint dry, moss grow on trees, a snail race, well you get the picture.
After demolishing half of my father's warriors I returned to my room for a much needed shower and nap, the guests will start arriving and I need to be wide awake to withstand the level of boredom I'm about to endure.
My nap however was short lived, Jade was bouncing all over the damn place giving me a headache, I had to threaten her with wolves bane to get her to calm down.
'Little one, I have a feeling tonight is going to change the course of our lives'
'Doubtful Jade, The same boring people we have known all our lives will attend, I have no interest in some egotistical Alpha or Beta'
'Little one the Moon Goddess knows best, she will send the best person for us, and we will be happy'
'Aren't we already happy?'
'Yes, but our mate will make us even happier, we are destined for greatness, it has already been told'
'Yeah, and some psycho trying to kill one of my pups was told too, we can not find our mate, If someone touched my pup I'd burn the entire planet down'
'Little one, you and me both, but we do not know specifically that it's our pup '
'Still not a chance I'm willing to take, and with my luck it will be, I can feel it
'We shall see little one'
A knock on the door brought me back to reality, Jade quieted down finally and I let the Omega Ava into help me get ready for my father's party.
'What color do you want to wear Miss Jenn?' she asked. 'Black preferably, but if not a green will work' I tell her, and after trying on several black dresses and a handful of different shades of green ones, I settled on an deep forest green dress, it was off the shoulders, short sleeved and hugged my curves, ending right above my knees.
'Will you be wearing heels ma'am?' she asked. 'Ava, are you trying to kill me, break an ankle, leg? Hell no, I will not wear heels, I like my ankles not sprained' I replied. 'Miss Jenn, I am sure you will be fine', she says but I cut her off stating 'Ava, my black Fendi flats will suffice, I will be comfortable, and before any one asks' I said as my mother entered my room 'If I find my mate, he will love me regardless of flats or heels.'
I didn't give my mother a chance to say anything, walking quickly into my dressing room and getting ready. 'Really Jennifer' my mother said sarcastically, 'Yes, really, Linda' I said with a smirk knowing it would annoy her, 'I prefer to not break my neck at a party I'm being forced to attend agaisnt my will'. She shakes her head and makes to leave, 'I guess I should just be glad you bathed' she said as she walked out.
A small laugh came from behind me, I turned and looked at Ava and she fumbled with some imaginary item in her hands, 'She's lucky I don't wear combat boots for that comment' I said causing Ava to bust out giggling, 'Please don't miss, I don't think I can handle that tonight'.
'Ava, are you hoping to meet a special someone tonight?' I asked, honestly I have known Ava my entire life, and known relatively nothing about her personal life. 'To be honest Miss, I am hoping the Warrior Emilio is my mate, I haven't seen him since I turned eighteen, he will be here tonight though'.
Emilio, I thought, hmm, I could see that, Ava is a sweetheart and Emilio is one of our best warriors, so much so Dad often sends him and a handful of others to train smaller packs when they ask for assistance setting up a training regimen, I think I would approve of that union. Long as the Moon Goddess doesn't throw me a mate, We'll all be okay.
