Digital Marketing simply means Advertising a business's products or services over the Internet. In digital marketing, there are various ways in which we can advertise our business to people over the Internet. These ways includes: 1. E-mail Marketing 2. Phone Number Marketing 3. Social Media Marketing 4. Website Marketing 5. Search Engines Now, I will explain more on these ways of advertising through digital marketing. Starting with the first one which is: 1. E-mail Marketing: In e-mail marketing, you will have to check the internet for peoples e-mail addresses. And there is an easy way you can do this. You go to google.com and type in a phrase of the category of people you want their e-mail addresses and you'll be surprised the number of websites that will show with emails of people who are associated with that category of keyword you searched for. The next thing you'll do is to open the websites on different tabs and then highlight using (Ctrl A) everything in a particular webpage. After highlighting, you will have to extract the emails alone from the whole thing you highlighted. To extract, you will go to google.com and search for 'email extractor lite 1.2'. It's an online version which means you will use it online without downloading it. So what you will do is to copy the highlighted texts and then paste it in the space provided for it in your e-mail extractor tab. And then type in the e-mail type you want to get (either yahoo, sss, outlook, hotmail, etc) and if it is available in that webpage you highlighted it's text, you see them and the number the extractor extracted for you from that page. If there's no e-mail on your highlighted text, you'll move to another website page you opened initially in another tab and do the same continuously until you get a handful of e-mail addresses. You can now create your Marketing text and use your e-mail address to send those emails you extracted a mail. You can also use a webmail to send a larger bulk of those emails your marketing email. Another important factor to consider in email marketing is the time you send the e-mail. You should know the category of people you have their email's and then send the emails appropriately so that, your email will enter their e-mail addresses at the right time when they will be available to read it or near when they will be likely to come online to check their mailbox. The appropriate time to send most emails is at 5-6am, 12-1pm, 8-10pm. This is because, at 5-6am, most of your targets will be awake and will likely check their phones for notifications and updates before going out for the day. If they don't check it at this time, they will check it sooner in 2-3 hours. And then, only a few emails would have entered their mailboxes. So your email will still be in the most recent mails received for that day. 12-1pm is almost and mostly break times for most working class people. And they will likely check their mailbox for mails. At 8-10pm, most people are on their beds checking their phones for the last time before sleeping. Your marketing email will likely be seen at the appropriate time. We will now consider the second way you can advertise through Digital Marketing. 2. Phone Number Marketing: There is an online service called Bulk SMS. This Bulk SMS service helps you to send a customized text message to a lot of phone numbers at once. Although, these Bulk SMS service providers charge a very little fee. You might be wondering how to get a lot of phone numbers which you do not have in order to market your product or service to them. Google.com handles that. There are lots of websites that sell phone numbers and some even give numbers for free. All you have to do is to type a customized search text on google. For example, 'free phone numbers in your country' and then search for it. A lot of websites will pop up with informations for you. So you will just need to open each website on a new tab and highlight the phone numbers and then save them on your Notepad or sticky note or whatever you have for saving texts. You can also save them in Microsoft word. You can also add phone numbers of your friends and family you wish to get the information on your product or service you want to sell. After this step, you will need to contact the Bulk SMS service providers to purchase some units of SMS proportional to the quantity of phone numbers you want to market your product or service to. You will be granted access to the Bulk SMS platform with your login. On the homepage, you will see the space where you will paste or type the phone numbers. You either type your phone numbers or paste them there. You will also see a section where you will type your customized marketing text message. There is a space provided for the senders name. This space is where you type in your business name or the title of your product or service. I advice you include your personal phone number on the top list of the phone numbers you want to send the message to. This will ensure the message was sent and you will also confirm the sent message because you will receive an SMS of the message you typed after you click the Send Button to send the message to the phone numbers. This digital marketing style is very effective because most people will read their texts. 3. Social Media Marketing: Social media marketing is very broad because there are lots of social media platforms. We will only consider the most popular social media platforms which are; * Instagram * Facebook * Twitter * YouTube * WhatsApp These Social Media platforms work somewhat similar except for YouTube and w******p.
