Blog Entry 9: A Surprising EncounterI just knew my little trip to the cruisy rest stop would come back to haunt me. I just didn’t expect it to be at work. After Patty’s snagging me in the parking lot after the day’s-end whistle blew, I shouldn’t have been surprised that someone else from work would accost me in the parking lot, wanting to have a word in private. It was now October, the tree-covered hills surrounding our valley were brilliant, showing off their autumn finery in hues of yellow, red, and orange. It was also chilly; a cold snap that had blown in from the north that morning had plunged Summitville temperatures into the low forties. So it was easy to do what I had not been able to do with Patty—invite my friend from work into my car, where we could talk in private. Milo Zarr
