The momentum was fierce, the pull urgent, and the wheelchair shot forward without her, crashing through the glass with a deafening shatter. Amara didn’t open her eyes. She was still waiting for the end, her mind numb, expecting the sensation of falling, the wind rushing past her, the final impact.
