Sonia rushed downstairs, her pulse racing as she approached the scene. Her breath hitched when she saw the body—a woman, her face mangled beyond recognition, lying lifeless on the pavement. The sight of the blood, the twisted body, was too much. She swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest. The woman was clearly dead, killed instantly by the impact of the falling wheelchair. Fear gripped Sonia. What to do now? She tried to calm the storm in her mind, but the weight of the situation was suffocating. Who was this woman? Why had she been there? And, more importantly, how was she going to manage this disaster?
